Her Deadpan and Smug expressions pretty much define her personality.

Her "PO'ed" expression can at times cause her eyes to turn a golden yellow... that might be explained a bit later...

Backstory:
Little is known about her origins... though it's believed she came from a realm where fantasy creatures exist.

It all started with the "Multiverse Crisis", an apocalypse-class disaster that caused out-of-control interdimensional portals to appear all over the city of Mariton, spontaneously transporting in many kinds of people from other worlds... while many of them were human from other dimensions, many others were demi-humans ranging from elves to beastmen. In its aftermath, Mariton's citizens were picking up the pieces while trying to adjust to the new reality. One family, the Robinsons, were trying to help clean up their neighborhood. It was during that time, a 3-year-old Jeremiah Robinson discovered an infant goblin girl near the bushes in his backyard. His parents had mixed feelings when he wanted to keep the baby goblin, but the goblin's rather cute face surprisingly won them over. Jeremiah's grandmother suggested naming the goblin 'Gail' which means 'joy'.

As time went on, Gail got along with Jeremiah. They played together and had so much fun... Even the Robinsons started treating her like she's part of the family.

Two years later, though, turbulent times came around... tensions between the humans and demi-humans reached an all-time high. Many humans could not accept the mere presence of the various peoples that looked like they came out of a fantasy realm. They were more offended by the mere existence of humanoids that resembled animals, seeing them as unnatural. This type of unrest eventually reached a boiling point, triggering 'Xenophobic' Riots. Despite being a child at the time, Gail stood out and thus was targeted. Concerned for the goblin's safety, the Robinsons managed to escape with her before the rest of the neighborhood got burned down.

The grandmother knew of a unique place that could help with Gail's situation. That place was 'Mystical Emporium'... a shop that sold mysterious and 'magical' items. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson were skeptical about magic at first, but with all the interdimensional chaos that happened, it wasn't as far-fetched. The shopkeepers were an eccentric group... among them was said to be a witch while another was a voodoo practitioner and so on. With the help of shopkeepers, a magic ritual was performed on Gail, giving her a human appearance. In order to maintain her human disguise, she was initially given a little necklace that contained a little magic. Later on, she was given a bangle which helped maintain her disguise for longer periods of time.

Though the riots were eventually subdued, the animosities toward the extradimensional people still lingered. Because of that, Gail used her human disguise whenever she was out in public or at school. Only at home or at certain places is when she can be comfortable being in her goblin form.

Fast forward over a decade later, Gail is now a teenager with a rather sarcastic yet daring attitude. Her adopted brother, Jeremiah, would be around to watch her back.... and keep her out of trouble.

notes:
-As I said in the pic, Gail's character design is heavily inspired by Gobuko Nggeil from the anime "Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time"... Gail's situation is very similar to Gobuko's, except that her adopted family managed to help her escape persecution.

-A number of comments thought Gail was an alien... well, technically they're not wrong there... though she is a goblin from one of those fantasy realms...

-Gail having innate magic power? Not really... she had help from those who can actually use magic.
-For the Robinsons other than Jeremiah... they're off-screen mainly because I'm still thinking how I should depict them...
