pictures of my helmet! *squeals* it is lovely...*mock concern* do you think I put enough grime on it?
And of course, as pictures often are...they don't do it justice by a long shot...the red is much darker, an there is more "dirt" than shows up here, and the cheekbone pieces are kinda a sparkly gray, not black or silver.
I actually got done painting this early yesterday afternoon, but didn't get my greedy little paws on a camera till this morning, and then when I was about to upload this, I got a call from work asking if I could come in because they were REALLY busy and hadn't had a chance to get any of the prep work done (this is a Subway, so not having the prep done means if you run out of something, your screwed) and could I please, please, PLEASE come in because they needed my help and would die without me....okay, they didn't actually say that, but that's how it works in this business
So now, 2 hours after I started to post this, I give you...The helmet!*snorts* every time I look at it I want to pull out a rag and clean it...

*laughs* yeah, the way the pics turned out, you can easily see scratches 1, 2, and 3 from the front shot, and 2, 3, and 4 from the side shot...if you look really close at the edges of the side shot one, you can see all four. and there is only 3 on the bottom, because I was following the natural line of where the claws would go, and only 3 of them hit the cheek.
I actually went and got a nice, big resin claw that I can add to my armor, as a little souvenir from the thing that did that.

Lol, I didn't scratchbuild my helmet though...I used a rubies jango, added a craft ring, replaced the visor and antenna, used a hella load of paint, and am debating wither or not to paper-mache the inside to guarentee that it doesn't warp...

*bounces around hugging self* One of the things that makes me just ego-trip with glee is the fact that there was absolutely no mandos with claw marks on their buckets until I did this [link] pic way back when, and then they started cropping up all over the place...
