Description
This is the makeup I did for my halloween costume. This was the second time using liquid latex for makeup, and the first time I've ever used it on myself.- Note: This is after I had been wearing the makeup for approximately 6 hours, so some bits have started to peel away and such.
- This look was created by using the latex to glue down strips of aluminum foil.
- I then used a small wedge-shaped brush to dab on droped of liquid latex all around the edges, smoothing it into the skin so create the raised edge of the "wound." After about a dozen layers of liquid latex, I tugged back at the edges so that the "skin" peeled up slightly around the metal.
- I brushed everything down with face powder, colored the laytex to match the skin around it and started to brush on red face paint around the edges and under the peeled-up edge of the "skin". Bits of black and purple makeup for shadows, and plenty of fake blood and it was complete.
- It took approximately 1.5-2 hours to complete this makeup job.
Unfortunately, I had a severe allergic reaction to the latex, and won't be able to do anything like this ever again! -bawl-
