Description
Well its been about a year now since I started drawing again and one of my first drawings was of a raven (currently used as my avatar ) So felt it was time to have another go, decided to add a barrow burial mound in the background covered in snow as its chilly at the moment.
The scene looked pretty bleak to me so added a dash of colour from a holly tree just poking into the picture and it gives things a more festive feel.

I used a slightly larger than A4 Bristol smooth board a 0.5 mechanical and 2b/4b pencils for the drawing plus gimp to add snow, oh yes and picasa to bump the contrast a bit after scanning.

I'd like to wish a very merry Christmas/Yuletide to all viewers, watchers and fine upstanding deviantart members.
