don't think it hits shelves for a couple more days, but the subscriber/contributor issues are out (they get sent out a week early), probably take a few more days before yours gets over the pond

Wow, this is absolutely stunning. I can't even begin to imagine how long this must have taken, but you've really done a beautiful job, especially with the tiny details.

Excellent! Being a New Yorker, though, I am curious to know if the piece of wall (right-hand side) that is shown here is based on the photos of the piece that was left of the World Trade Center after it collapsed. It looks an awful lot like it...

I'm also originally from New York too....Make no mistake....you have a good eye-there is a direct connection, in my peoples minds, to destruction when they see that criss cross shape that was made from the remains of the world trade center bombings. I specifically put those shapes there so it would quickly read as a gutted building.....
Also...when and if you see the tutorial-you'll read that the base city structure is a combination of 3D geometry and phot reference
Best,
Phil

The only issue with this image for me is that you've copied the two main towers and they LOOK the same
But it is still stunning piece of art

I actually think "YESSSSSSSSSS" in my head whenever I see your username in my message center.
Your work here on the clouds is particularly fantastic... I'm a couple inches from my screen trying to see how you've managed to render them with this photorealistic touch.... amazing.
New desktop bkg for me!
I really look forward to a tut on this picture, I'm sure it'll be hugely educational to see the stages you work in

the transparency is hurting this. it doesn't look like brushwork, more like photomanip.. amazing work, but not quite up to your par imo.

Wow that's intense Congratulations on the ImagineFX article, I just subscribed today (found the Mag yesterday while browsing in a Borders) There is sure a lot going on in there, but the composition suits that. It seems really angry and violent.. all intentional I'm sure. Nice Matte Painting
