I landed here thanks to Google Images ("Search by Image" feature).
This wallpaper has been gracing my 19" HD screen's desktop for more than 6 months now. I like to collect 1080p HD wallpapers (only for personal use), as I like to change my desktop's wallpaper regularly depending on my mood.
But somehow this particular one hasn'tΒ yetΒ been replaced on my desktop, and it is still doing awesome justice to my HDΒ screen. The reason is that it has not yet found an equal among the thousands of brilliant wallpapers I have on my PC.
"Infinite Oz" is that good!
Philip, what you've done here is pure genius! "Infinite Oz" would make a fantastic living room wall-hanging artwork. I'm surprised you aren't yet selling prints of this masterpiece! I would be willing to buy one, even though I live in another country!
Everything about "Infinite Oz" is perfect. The sky is gorgeous, and oh so realistically blending into that perfect scene! When I say perfect, I mean: the detailed meadows & shrubbery, the tree & swing, the windmill, the farmhouse, the grazing cow, the mountainscape in the background, the remnant fence and cartwheel, and last but not the least, the terrific tornado & ominous clouds that almost dominate the magnificent sunset. Everything is so dramatic, gorgeous, colorful, majestic, creative and yes, perfect!
The farm and its environs signify peace and hope, the tornado probably signify doom and trouble, and the sunset signifies the passage of time. And perhaps, that's the message here. That neither peace nor trouble are permanent, both hope and foreboding are triggers for proactively changing the circumstances, and time and destiny are transient and unpredictable.
Of course, If I were to predict the outcome of this dramatic scene, I would say the tornado will fade away, and leave the happy farm & its denizens in the blissful and pristine state.
Philip, I am glad I finally got around my laziness and tracked you down, to put in a few words of appreciation and thanks for sharing your wonderful artworks! Kudos and cheers!

*gasp* oh my GOODNESS this piece is mind-blowing! The tone, the overall mood, everything is striking and really catches your eye. I can tell a lot of care and work went into this piece.
I just adore the contrast with the gentle glow of the setting sun directly opposing the harsh deadly form of the tornado looming in the background. Itβs almost like the sunset is saying goodbye to itβs last final moments of peace and silence before it is destroyed by the rage of the tornado. A powerful image.
Everything in the is just wonderful. The setting the lighting the detail, everything is GORGEOUS. It makes me want to go back and rewatch the old film.
Absolutely wonderful outstanding work. Truly beautiful in itβs own right.
