A quick painting a did a few weekends ago. Finally I was able to find some time to do something just for me!As always please let me know what you think!

I guess that speedpaintings are more about impression and I can honestly say that this one is very impressive. I guess that it's because of that soft but contrasting lightning and the topic. It seem to me as if the place was completely abandoned and this man just came back from a long journey home and now he see that no home remains, his family escaped, the whole colony is away. That's the feeling I got from it. I hope that I'm not all wrong.
Btw how do you manage the lines of buildings to seem straight? If I may ask of course,I don't want to be rude. Whenever I try to paint a building digitally, my hand is never that precise to make it seem straight. That's actually why I paint nature much more than buildings. Is it all about practice? I am a greenhorn to digital art (I paint for less than year and still feel that I know absolutely nothing about digital art.) and have a lot of things to discover.

Thankyou thankyou thankyou! I've always had trouble drawing buildings and knowing where to start, but looking at your painting I just had like...an epiphany. O_O I can't wait to try it out!
