You can fix that problem by plugging in the action "stopallsounds" in the frame of the title screen.

It works! Kinda. Now the title screen song doesn't play. I moved the song file to another layer or frame, but it still doesn't work.

Try making the title screen song play a couple frames after the "stopallsounds" frame. That way the sounds would all stop and THEN the song plays.
If it doesn't play, try to push the frame with the song starting further until it's able to play.

the blur filter doesn't lag so much so long as you keep it to one depth (movieclip with blur, not movieclip with blur inside movieclip with glow etc.) and switch it to "fast" or "low quality" or whatever it is.
on spoken tutes. to be honest, i think you'd be better off with your examples being explained as they play, but the larger text sections as 'turn the page' style text frames. it's just a little annoying to have to wait for you to finish talking to get to the interesting bits. or to go back and check anything.
oh, and you can get the colour temp stuff if you're animating inside a graphic in the tint filter menu.
anyway, digging it. keep it up.

Cool insight, my only beef with it is how you create sunset lighting: it could be a lot more convincing by separating both sunlight and skylight because they affect the scenery through different colors. The sunlight goes yellowish-orange whereas the sky goes purplish... where they blend together creates this 50% grey which has a very strong psychological impact upon people (it actually cools them down.)
Sunrise is achieved by making the sky pinkish instead.
