I really love this background in that game. hell, i love the game itself!

Yes, loved that nighttime landscape. Those backgrounds, even if there weren't many of them, and when they did show up, most of it was obscured, they gave a really cool sense of eerieness and atmosphere.

Thats one thing i really love about bungie and the games they make. They seem really big on atmosphere and ambience when it comes to alien environments. This is really evident in marathon 2 with awesome backdrops like this. I also picked up on alot of it while playing Halo CE, mainly during the later levels that have you exploring the alien tunnel environments.

maybe thats what they are doin for their new IP? I would honestly love another marathon game, especially since marathon 2's ending is kinda open ended (in between the actual game ending and the epilogue)

I agree. I know that they re-released marathon 2 on XBL but with updated graphics. the reviews were kinda stupid though :/. They graded the game down for being too "dated" which is a big "well no shit" moment considering the game was made in 1995 -__-
maybe we'll get a little taste of a next gen marathon in bungies new game hopefully!
