fantastic tutorial! thank you so much for making it i wasn't really sure what you meant by layer grounding though and i looked it up on Google and couldn't find anything :/ I use elements 10 so I'm guessing it would be fairly similar on yours, if you wouldn't mind explaining that I'd be really grateful

So I looked into it and I have no idea where I got the term grounding, but everyone else calls it a clipping mask if that helps!

It's command (or control)+g for my version. If you're on, I can show you what it does, it's kind of hard to explain.

I've seen tutorials for painted manes and tails, but do you think you could do one for feet? Say on a Gypsy Vanner? I just can't seem to get the extra hair on the drafts horses feet flowing the right way.

I won't have time to make any more tutorials for a while, but I'll let you know if I do! In the meantime, this one is helpful for the flow of feathers, although it doesn't help much for the painting part [link] . Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with!
