LOL! I was very suspicious that Justice had something to do with that line as well.

Yeah, some of the more forceful, definitive statements just sound more like Justice than Anders. All part of the merge, I guess.

This line made me facepalm when I got to it.

Anders, man, I love this new you. Character conflict, a three-dimensional personality beyond "snark snark snakr flirt flirt snark," it's a writer's dream come true.

But, dude... tact. You know, that little thing in the back of your head that kept you from saying something really idiotic to the Warden-Commander when you needed it?

Yeah. You don't have that anymore. And I'm kind of missing it.

PhoenixFuryBane In reply to mouse-whiteblade [2011-04-25 17:16:36 +0000 UTC]

This is very true. I think the loss of tact comes from him feeling things much more acutely since the merge, and Justice's lack of concept of time. It's understandable from a story perspective, but damn it is so awkward!

Most of the DA2 cast aren't all that full of tact now that I think on it...

mouse-whiteblade In reply to PhoenixFuryBane [2011-04-25 18:01:20 +0000 UTC]

Also true. Having a demon nestled in your head can give you a very bad case of foot-in-mouth, it seems. It's rather endreaing, though, in a "WTF!?" sort of way.

Ah yes, the conspicuous lack of tact in Thedas. Maybe there's something in the water?

Ha ha ha! Justice might have been trying to dissuade Hawke and Anders didn't realize.

Also a good possibility. "This Anders's guy, he's mine. Back off!"

Doesn't Anders say something like Justice does not approve of Hawke when you're romancing him? Justice does not share. XD

Something about Justice not approving Anders's obsession with Hawke. Anders can only be obsessed with Justice!

LoL XD I was wondering about that pick up line myself xD But it was sooo cute

Anders somehow manages to say the creepiest things and make them seem cute. I think it has to do with his pouting and the big puppy dog eyes. It's such a ridiculously sad face!

lol I love that we can essentially blame everything and anything questionable on Justice.

Anders' face in the last panel made me giggle.

lol I like to blame them both, because they were such dolts. But it's just so easy to pin it on Justice.

It's too bad Anders didn't merge with a spirit of Wisdom, or at least Amazing Insight. Unfortunately, neither he nor Justice are the sharpest knives in the drawer...but that's okay, I still love them.

I'm sorry! At least it's better than hearing the Maker, No! remix during the Final Straw. I got that stuck in my head and now can't stop laughing during the most dramatic scene.

Sadly Justice is not a romantic.

Unfortunately, no. These human emotions confuse and infuriate him!

Oh, Anders. Getting romantic advice from Justice is not the smartest thing to do.

This is quite cute. Anders in the last panel makes me giggle.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PhoenixFuryBane In reply to TheSilverRaven [2011-04-25 17:07:52 +0000 UTC]

No, no it isn't. I suspect he also reads trashy romance novels and gets ideas there too. He's really rusty on this wooing thing.

Thanks!

Justice pick-up lines would be the worst ever... although, apparently they worked on Anders.

Fighting templars, a sure way into Anders's heart...and mind...and body.

Justice: I do not approve of the infatuation you have with that woman. However, if you must continue along this misguided path, at least let me offer you some advice. You have zero game dude. Zero. Game.

PhoenixFuryBane In reply to Verbalibis [2011-04-25 17:06:23 +0000 UTC]

Maybe Justice thinks he's a romantic expert since he's got Kristoff's memories.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Verbalibis In reply to PhoenixFuryBane [2011-04-25 19:03:31 +0000 UTC]

Hahaha! That must be it! The follow up conversation would look something like this...

Anders: What would give you the idea that you're any more experienced than I am?
Justice: I was married, for starters.
Anders: Marri... You were not! Kristoff was, you idiot!

I can feel it SMMOOOOUULLLRERING BETWEEEEEEN UUUUSSS.

Justice learned how to woo from Kristoff's recollection of Aura's romance novels. Now, Anders can't keep his hands off the Harlequin titles in the bookstore, and flirting is suddenly a mystery. Live and learn.

PhoenixFuryBane In reply to Notaricon [2011-04-25 04:55:33 +0000 UTC]

You know that Anders has a secret stash of harlequin romance novels in the back room of the clinic. "This is how romance works, right?" Justice just sort of grumbles and agrees.

It was so easy at the Circle. You just wriggled your eyebrows at someone and went for the nearest convenient bookcase!

For a friendmanced Anders, I totally buy that Justice has a crush on Hawke. Sometimes literally. Painfully.

SynneWarrior In reply to PhoenixFuryBane [2011-04-25 06:25:23 +0000 UTC]

XDDDD which would explain how he STILL came to follow me after I killed him! Oh man, which I don't mind either~! I like anders and Justice equally!

PhoenixFuryBane In reply to PayRoo [2011-04-25 04:27:51 +0000 UTC]

He does. A little too hard, and takes Justice's advice for the wrong subjects at times (not that he can really help it), but I appreciate the effort.

lucidmediums In reply to ??? [2011-04-25 04:12:18 +0000 UTC]

This actually was him saying he'd degrade himself to blood magic for you... not sure if you got that or thought to take it literally anyway.
Thought it was funny, though. lol

PhoenixFuryBane In reply to lucidmediums [2011-04-25 04:25:57 +0000 UTC]

I thought of it more in a standard killing rampage than actual blood magic, though the Vengeance path of his character specialization tree does seem an awful lot like blood magic...Either way, unfortunate implications.

I actually groaned and went, "Come on!" but my Hawke's more polite than that. She may be sweet and idealistic, but she can at least sometimes point out when Anders says something creepy.
