I guess he means he would have killed so many too keep them safe....at least that is what I thought....not actually drowning in blood....that's gross and very sticky. But its the thought right?

I'm sure the sentiment is that he'd kill to keep Hawke safe it's just...unfortunate imagery. It's also anti-romantic. Justice ruined the man's sense of what's appropriate flirting and what's just plain weird.

Yeah I think we need to give Justice a guide to what is right to say to a woman and what isn't.
Oh yeah did you read the Strongest Force and Tempering Justice? they are love!

I've been reading Tempering Justice. It does an excellent job balancing true Justice underneath and the Vengeance that he becomes at times. I definitely saw his relationship with my mageHawke to be similar to that.

Yeah I was "this author is reading my mind!" I mean the strongest force was amazing enough but this story is major icing to the cake!
also I love the red string part in Tempering Justice

Damnit Anders, you were running around with the Dwarven king of the chat up lines in Awakening! How could you forget so much in so short a time?
Oh yeah, you became an abomination and acting like a madman by the end....

He never seemed sane, but dammit, the man used to know how to flirt! And snark with Oghren.
Justice, on guard against fun and canoodling everywhere.

But he wasn't insane in Awakening, he was eccentric. (And oblivious to a female Warden admittedly, but thats besides the point). 👍: 0 ⏩: 1
More and more, I find myself wishing that there was a conversation along the lines of after
Hawke - "Well, Anders, you make a pretty convincing arguement."
Anders (surprised)) - "I do? Really?"
Hawke - "Yep, I now wholeheartedly support all Mages being made Tranquil because of you."
*You'd be amazed how many people still don't know what he did.

He just always seemed a little off to me, but he had good reason what with his year in solitary. He had a lot of anger that he was able to obfuscate with humor.
I understand people being really upset about it, but I don't think I'd ever want to make every mage Tranquil.

What is it they say, every clown is crying inside?
And well, you're right, not every mage should be made Tranquil. I just imagine that comment would be something Hawke would say just in a moment when something snapped inside. I mean, bar Fenris, Anders or Merrill, how much of Hawke's life has been controlled by magic? Father was an apostate, so was their sister, their mother, we know what happened there. It just seems like something that would easily tip Hawke over the edge. (Think of it as a trolling moment for Hawke)
We just want every mage free to make their own choices, is that so much to ask? (That or give some characters a personality transplant, but thats another comment....)

Yeeeeah. Once he merged with Justice, all his previous powers of suaveness just withered (because Justice is a professional stick-in-the-mud). He needs to get back in the groove.

This made me wonder if Justice ever actually actively tries to cockblock them...More than just 'disapproving'.
