Description
It's not entirely spoileriffic since I made no mention of the reason behind this, but I'm not taking any chances.I can't believe "Punch to the face" wasn't an option. C'mon, even Hawke was agreeing with him, a fist to the face was necessary.
Yeah, that was my first Hawke, a mage who went from off the wall humor to soul crushing depression. Being Hawke sucks worse than any Warden, and that's saying something.
Buck up, Hawke. Varric's still got your back.
Quickie comic done in between work, hence the lack of color and messiness.
Dragon Age 2 (more like Depression Angst 2 or Dammit Anders 2, am I right? Don't hurt me!

Dragon age 2. Aka "Stupid sexy Anders" I ran off with him but I wanted to at least punch him in the face but I felt bad for him when you tell him he's a murderer. he flat out says " i know" and not in the evil maniac way. But again. stupid sexy anders and your hot kiss techniques! lol

I sometimes call him Flanders and then say, "Stupid sexy Flanders."
I felt so bad for Anders. He's had a lot of terrible things happen to him before he decided sharing head space with a spirit was a good idea, and it's a wonder he wasn't crazier. He can be a huge jerk, and a stupid tactician, but he still wants to believe in things like justice and freedom. It's sad stuff. Stupid sexy Flanders, er, Anders.

I know what you mean. Yet he's redeemable in the SMALL moments he has where he seems like how he used to be. Like the great Kitten marsh debate.

Yeah, even when you side with the guy he needs a smack upside the head at that moment. Anders/Justice do not plan for the long term.

Even my meek pacifist Hawke wanted to punch him, and she ended up with him in the long run. The lack of Renegade interrupts made me sad.

Yeah, I get that Anders is a tad eradic these days, I know understatement of the Dragon Age, but still that was an utter shock for me...and made it really hard for me to stick with him. Yeah, Elthina was a bit difficult at times but, I actually liked her and out of the major players in Kirkwall she was probably the only one that in the end died a decent person.

If [like me] you have a warrior it would have been nice to have a break his freaking jaw with an armored fist to face option. Instead since he use to be a good person I just told him I never want to see him again.

lol Warriors could do substantial damage to the jawline, no doubt. My MageHawke probably would have ended up breaking her fist after the punch, however. Poor gal. Oh Anders, you inspire a wide range of responses, and many of them involve punching.

Hawke:You are such a moron....
Anders:if you must kill me,then do it..
Hawke:I really should!But...you have been a good friend..and you're the ONLY healer I know of that'll work for free....
Varric:And there's the fact that he owes you a shit-load of coin from the last time we all played cards..
Hawke:Yeah..there's THAT too...

see if they wanted to import the dialogue wheel they should have gone all the way and included the renegade interrupt cause seriously my mage hawke wanted to punch orsino when he does his thing and meredith when she reveals blah, come on none of you are sane really?! where is my neutral aveline arrest these fools for being nuts.

That's why Dragon Age II should have had the paragon/renegade interrupt from Mass Effect 2.
I really would have loved to punch Grace, you save her from becoming tranquil, you're against Meridith and she still accuses you of being a templar spy.
I could see that
Hawke: "I've had enough of your ridiculous accusations" (Punches Grace)

The good news is if enough fans make that opinion clear it will probably happen in Dragon Age III.
BioWare is usually really good at listening to their fans.

Haha, I totally agree. Though I was satisfied with the stabbing option. I was practically shouting at my friend "WHY DON'T I HAVE A STAB BUTTON" until...oh, a stab button. Still was heartbreaking.
I was really disappointed that they didn't have interrupts. They added the rest of ME2's dialogue stuff, why not the fun part of it?

PhoenixFuryBane In reply to beranyth [2011-03-25 01:33:03 +0000 UTC]
I haven't done the stabbing yet, but will probably do so in my current playthrough. I just prefer punching because it's tends to be less lethal.
Yeah, that one will puzzle me. I'm hoping they'll put it in DA3, though. You got the dialogue wheel, so let us do some awesome interrupts!

I wish the last three options were : "You're a f***ing idiot (but I still love you, I'll deal with you later you a**); "You're a f***ing idiot (beat up wrestlemania style for the next two hours and then drag off to help deal with the problem you caused)"; and "You're a f***ing idiot (wipe the floor with him until not even the maker could revive his a**)"

PhoenixFuryBane In reply to idleideas [2011-03-21 04:27:27 +0000 UTC]
lol For some reason the Wrestlemania option is the one I'd really like to see. Maybe because I think underneath all the feathers that Anders is kind of skinny and not-defined so the concept of him wrestling anyone cracks me up. He would get his ass handed to him pretty easily considering Hawke can defeat the Arishok toe-to-toe.

as a squishy, squishy mage who likes lightning over cold... my mage had to do an all out brawl not a one on one... and Anders was very good in that.
Incidentally - play a mage Hawke with Anders in the party, half the time during fights, Anders will come up to fight 'back-to-back' with Hawke. It's actually kind of awesome to watch.
