My first tree,had to be a biomechanical one of course. Trees are cool although i wouldnt call myself a tree hugger. Taken from [link] and his amazing pencil drawing [link]Not sure what to do with the backround???????

nice one, I like what you've done. I am a tree hugger, I was a forestry student at Utah State University before I ever got into tattooing.
As far as constructive criticism goes; I would say that the value of tree studies is in creating dimension. choose a light source, put one side of the tree in darkness and another in light...I know, it sounds very basic indeed, but thats the beauty of trees, they are so intricate and texured and twisted that it becomes much more involved.
the problem with most tree art is that the branches and roots all seem to go out the the sides instead of towards and away from...at least that is how the whole tree study obsession started for me.

Thank you very much, another girl said that to about the backround so i think ill listen to you both and leave it as is. I love it to and it looks even better in person, its quite big to, i metre width by 1.5 high.
