Really great improvement in terms of skill overall !! I love the new color palette, flow, contrast, and the background tells more of a story unlike the first. Your anatomy and form got a lot better too. Definitely envious

Your drawing skill have certainly improved a lot, but the two drawing seem to be in pretty different settings. I would expect the first to be more like a minor character in one of the older fantasy game/novel. The newer one seems like a protagonist for an asian fantasy teen novel.
But... I like how the first guy seems to be looking at his target, it makes him look more mature. The new guy is looking at the audience, which kinda make it seems like he's just posing.
