The right-eye images are now done as well and I wanted to see how they'd look in anaglyph 3D. I caught this one on the screen and thought it looked pretty cool as is. If you've got red/green 3D glasses, you might want to give that a try too!Related content

Wow! I love this. Very nice depth! I love all the little details like the helmets and guns stored on the wall. Those reflections in the dome and elsewhere in the picture are SO cool but I'll bet that your rendering time is going to be... eh... longer.

Thanks - yeah - I was pretty happy with the 3D effect in this version - it's obviously better in the Side-By-Side version on my TV, but this isn't bad and there's at least a bit of color.
As to the rendering times - yeah - they're a bit long - but I'm having pretty good luck with this render farm I've found. They seem pretty new, but we're working through some of the issues together. The entire 3D version of the initial view is done and "in-the-can"! The alternate view left eye is also done and the right eye is in process - should be done in a day or so. My estimate is their process is about 40x what mine would be. So far it's still cheaper than even a low-end server, and a whole lot cheaper than the $15k it might have cost me from the other place I looked at and that was just for one view.
Considering how much time I've put into this - I'm probably going to be posting at least five maybe as many as seven different views - maybe not all at once though.

Yeah - most sane people don't have them. Most of the rest of us don't either. But - I mostly posted it because it looks pretty cool by itself.

I'm not sure which is more disturbing - the 87% off the regular price or that there are six views of a pair of cheap glasses. I have a few like these - but they only work when I'm wearing my contacts - you need the old flat ones if you wear glasses.
Certainly don't want you feeling excluded. Or fandabbydozy for that matter (what ever that means?! ?)
I keep a pair at work because occasionally the Astronomy Picture of the Day does an anaglyph - seems NASA's been cool with the concept for a while.
