Description
I love DM's Teleporter - this is a test of some transparency and texture modifications I did to the Blue Courtain prop that is part of it for the up-coming animation.I'm going out on a limb here and saying that even though that alien isn't wearing its standard issue stretchy-shiny-suit, that you can't see anything... and there's nothing to see. No mature flag this time.

Yeah - pretty close to a ton, I'd guess. Thanks - I think the final result is going to look pretty neat.

Thanks!! I spent a LOT of time on the layout, getting the angles so that we can see three good reflections of the subject (they'll be much more visible than this, in general) as well as the other characters and even the hand scanner and console - there will be content there too. That's my second big task today.
Thanks again for the watching and commenting.

Really nice texturing, Johnny! With all the reflections this must take some time to render, that's for danged sure!

Thanks, Molly! The reflections are a bit costly - but I've found a setting that produces a pretty good reflection at not much more cost than rendering other backgrounds. What's really killing me is all the partial transparency. I love it, but the full frame renders are pushing out towards 5 minutes - and the whole thing is about 3600 frames (the first 1000 are "in the can" - though I'll re-render those later as the sun angle has changed and the opening section will look better.
Next up this morning is to finally dig into the character animation - this bit right here is the most complicated - all the characters are interacting along with the two ring drones (the one you see and the one you... are ) and there's a sight gag between the operator and the guy on the right. Once I get that down the rest... should be pretty easy. Relatively.
Having fun!
Thanks again - I always look forward to your comments.
