Description
The Discovery.the result of extreme boredom struck me on the head today so i decided to create another manip. Almost smashed my keyboard over this one and im still not happy with a certain part which seriously is bugging me to death. Hopefully you all like this one.

those three waves in the middle-bottom and those clouds at the top-middle/left are overtly cutnpaste identical. Some sections of the clouds are just too obviously shopped (especially towards the top left).
Theres a discrepancy in the quality of the mountains on the left and right to the one in the middle.
Those birds are all flying directly towards the top of the obelisk. Not natural flock behaviour, doesnt look like they're circling it at all.
Bad crop-edge on the left side of the obelisk.
Thats about all that was glaring at me. The rest is nice, I like the beige filter.

Its not a flame, its a comment on what could be improved.
I can see 1 cloud shape repeated 4 times (twice vertically on the far left, twice hoz immediately above the waterfall),
and another dark cloud shape repeated 4 times as well (horizontally across the top of the image).
Theres also a horizontal dark cloud band which I can spot twice in the image.
You do a good job overlaying them and changing their brightness/contrast, but upon scrutiny its clear you copied and pasted a few stock photos of cloud images into your manip about four times.

i see now, copy and paste is dodgey term to use. i used clone tool but taht i did it twice. I dont know how there are four =/ Possibly cuz i used a couple photos at the same place and they had the same cloud in the photo.

It looks stunning. It reminds me of movies/games like Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider. There's a lot of aspects I love about this, definately the obelisk, sky and waterfall. I haven't anything to critque in this, so,

I would take off the ship, add foam at the bottom of the waterfall, the lighting on the waterfall mountain is a bit off from the lighting on the mountain behind it and there are no waves around the waterfall bottom.
Not really noticable but i do photomanips too so yeah..
not a quarter as good compared to you though.

I like most of the piece very much. However, the waterfall section seem to float over the rest of the image which is largely caused byt the dar shadowing at the bottom of that part both to the right and center which ceratinly would not be there under normal conditions.

The waterfalls splash at the bottom and create a mist which is natural then suddenly the water grows very dark and almost black in the transition to the water in the foreground whwich has plenty of light and reflections which would seem to need to go all the way back to the mist of the waterfalls.

the water is calm, which is why it is dark, the reflected light is from the rippled water from the boat. remember the light is coming from the back, over the mountains so you wouldnt have light from the sun that close

the superimposed waterfall/cliff is bright and sun exposed on the shadow side. the ocean is fine, the problem is with the waterfall/cliff which should be in darkness but is not.

looks pretty darn good actually. three points i'd improve, shrink the obelisk down some 50%, give more reflection to ths ship and try and manip in some foam or spray at the bottom of the waterfall.
