Thank you! Originally I had her scared of the water, but it would be mean to go farther out to the ocean if she was scared of it, so I made it where she was sad she lost her bell in the water. Its still a mix between those two though x3

Lol does it sound silly that i have a list of animals / bugs / flowers of stuff i like, that way if someone else gets the one i want i can just go down the line? I absolutely have like a top 3 though... one of them is (one, i have 2 cats as well) of my pets XD i have a sugar glider named Max, i think it'd be cool to have a bean based off him.

Not at all :3 I made a small list also. Some of my maybes got claimed, but I was lucky to get the ones I really adored and wanted. I thought my set was complete, but I got my friend June into them and now all her ideas make me want another to be friends with hers if she gets one xD

A sugar glider Bean would be so cute! I can just picture if with all their little sugar glider pets gliding around in the wild x3 I hope you get it!

Sugar gliders are awesome XD I recently adopted max from a friend (hes 8 years old) and hes just the quirkiest, yogurt-greedy little critter ever. My cats are actually afraid of him because hes a crabbing-sock of rage whenever they set a paw in the room where is cage is.

YAY for getting your mates into it. I love that its so... artsy - like all the trials are just lovely push to do art for your own thing. do you have a place where all the ones you own are shown in one place? I have a bunch of sketches (for practice) that i wanted to finish, and might as well help someone on their pea count XD

He sounds like quite a character x3 A friend of mine used to have a couple but I only saw them once. They are cuties x3

The tropical ones look pretty, so colorful! June, the friend, wants an octopus, but is having trouble finding a specific one since there are 300 species and each one of them look different from their main colors vs if they are camouflaged. If she gets it I might try for a crab one to go with it.

Exactly! The artsy trails are the inspiration and influence I need to push me back into more art stuff. Getting over any self conscious stuff and just do it! Thats why I made this one. I don't have them all together (missing one from this scene), but here are mine! :'D

He's awesome, hes also blind in one eye from eye surgery from an infection a long time ago, and it cracks me up because im not sure if its ALL gliders? but he makes sure to look every freaking direction before jumping (he'll even hang upside down to stare at the landing site before he'll launch himself). He's SO nosy too, when he finally felt safe enough to come out of the little cage my mate gave me, he basically was running up and down my book case, knocking down ALL the random little trinkets i have (mostly MLP and some kokeshi dolls). and his NOSE. omgosh.. such a good sense of smell, open an apple sauce in the hall outside his room, and his head pops out of his sleeping sack SO fast.

Has your mate looked at Cuttlefish? they have some really awesome colours and markings as well. awwww crab! so cute (and delicious...)

YAS! thats what im excited about the most, Imagine looking back after you finish ALL the trials... what a difference after all that practice with things maybe you dont draw so often. I mean, creatures + backgrounds + digital are ALL things i never do. This is the first time i've actually dragged out my tablet. 

Ah those are super cute! may i have permission to doodle them? The koi and raindeer are especially lovely (the colours pop so magnificently).

Aw, poor baby. He seems to be adjusted though, being cautious of his surroundings. He sounds like a fun pet though, so curious! I wanted a ferret when I was younger, they seemed like fun little guys :3 (Kokeshi dolls <3)

Yea, squids, cuttlefish, and octopus. She has a certain idea for the character and octopus is the only one that fits so far. (plus it would be an inside joke/nod to a different character she had)

Indeed! Just making this I can tell a difference from my start to finish. I am still very new to Sai so I learned a lot doing this one. I'm not good with pen pressure/straight lines so throughout this piece I got more comfortable with it. Using different types of layers like clipping and multiply really helped too. Exactly! It pushes you on to try new things and that is awesome x3

I had a cousin with ferrets- I spent a week with her one summer, and her ferrets ripped out the inside of my shoes and shoe laces every day XD little shoe-hating slinky-noodle cats.

inside jokes are the best.

XD i've been messing with SAI as well, and honestly i cant seem to tell at all if the pen pressure is... ever noticeable on anything i've done so far. I spent a day watching a bunch of tutorials by this one girl and then pausing and trying everything she said. 

do you have a page written up with their personalities and such? that'd be awesome.

Little destructive snake cats! I like to watch them at the pet store when ever I'm there.

Same with me. I'm used to solid mechanical pencil lines not thick and thin manga style lines, so its hard to get used to! (Plus I draw on big canvases then shrink it down, so you can tell even less)

I have trackers for them that I'm still working on. They have a little bit of personality info and companion stuff there. Bagbean Trackers

Kim (Koi) and Connor (Lemur) are a couple, they run a tea and noodle shop together. Pickle (weasel) spins her own yarn out of different fibers and makes clothing and dolls with them. ??? (Reindeer) I'm still working on but hes basically a tall, quiet, mysterious Bean. only Pickle knows him for know. (She uses the shed fibers from his reindeer and cafluffles to make yarn as well :3)

heck yes, im used to doing stuff in blue pencil, and then drawing over it with graphite... and then if i like it enough to colour it, using a light board to trace it onto a better piece of paper and then bringing our the markers and colouring pencils, and inks XD sitting with the silly flat tablet and then trying to draw while staring straight ahead is maddening! I still can't draw on the silly tablet, i have to take a photo of a sketch and then draw over it in another layer and then delete the original layer with the photo'd sketch. and i swear it takes long then drawing the original sketch XD takes me HOURS to go over my OWN silly lineart. 

YAY TRACKERS! thanks for linking them XD i already started sketching - though i have to finish this silly thing i started a few days ago (pokemon trainer) because im trying to apply to this pokemon RP group? im a stay at home mom... i am bored out of my mind 90% of the time. at least drawing gives me a purpose other than clean / change diapers / help with homework / or cook. 

man now i want tea... and noodles. but tea i can do RIGHT now.. so tea it is.

I am the same! The disconnect between drawing on a tablet and staring up at a screen is difficult to get used to. (If only we could afford cintiqs ;A I still need to sketch it out traditionally first then redo it in Sai. Sai is a great help though. The ability to modify shapes, angles, etc on the fly is so helpful though. I remember the pain (and still do it) of erasing the same arm or hand so many times in order to get it right, but being like "dang maybe the 5th version was ok, this 12th one looks so bad. " In sai I can just wiggle it around and save headaches and my poor erasers. The lemur bean here I sketched and re-sketched about 7 times trying to get the anatomy/perspective to look ok, but ending up changing it even more once I was in Sai. But had I not sketched it first I would be so lost. I cannot sketch digital at all.

oh man, last time i looked at a cintiq was when they first came out, and those were ridiculously expensive, im almost afraid to look and see how much it is now *goes to look*omgosh *snort* that... is a lot of commissions.... that no one buys XD maybe if i didnt have 4 kids? or a house XD . . .  or maybe if i skipped buying books for a few years? probably more then a few years, i get giant stacks from the library and my mum and mates lend me other giant stacks as well... 

Yes, so many redrawing over and over and over. and then i watch griff doing her live streams and its like HOW ARE YOU DRAWING STRAIGHT LINES WITHOUT ZOOMING WAY IN. I think im almost always at 500% magnification to make sure  i colour in the lines, and the lines are too shakey... i havent yet figures out how to move and alter stuff around like you are mentioning .... time to watch more tutorials today! though last night i found a wonderful idea to practice drawing back grounds - (wed is comic book day) soooo i figured i could try to draw all the back ground images in the MLP comics as a starter, since they are... not stupid detailed, but.... i mean they are busy.

and sure thing lovely, beats drawing a bunch of "baby" ones with no hair or designs. hahaha and yasssss pokemon (VALOR!) lol we live out out in the boonies... and so the only pokestop near by is a gas station XD "mommy are we getting gas for he car?" ".... nu....". OH i did have a question though. your Koi.... does she have a human form yet? or rather did you have something specific in mind, or guidelines you would prefer? so i started this sketch of a human next to a bean both of them dancing (think asian fan dance) soo how do you feel about traditional Hanfus (chinese ceremonial dresses) XD i'll be less ramble-y and just send you pictures i found of it online that i stashed in tumblr. 

mmmmmmm real ramen is good, i havent been to a ramen shop lately... or Pho ; ; THAT NEEDS TO BE REMEDIED.

I don't draw near enough to ever justify spending money on one. Maybe if I win the lottery lol. I would love to have one though, I would draw so much more often having the pen to paper interaction but in digital form.

I love watching steams because you learn new stuff all the time. Its like behind the scenes videos or in progress tutorials on using the software. You mean I can just use a clipping layer instead of having to erase all these dang edges?!?!?! Oh man, Griff is so quick and smooth sketching those Beans, but she's been doing this for a while. Doesn't stop the envy x3 And I mean stuff like lassoing a certain object then moving it around. Like an upper arm that is too short, you can select the rest of the arm and move it down. Then all you have to do is fill in the missing lines on the arm instead of having to redo the whole thing. That sounds like a good idea for practicing! Have you seen screenshot redraws? They seem like a cool way to practice too.

Same here, I have to drive to town to have any pokestops or gyms. Made the game hard to play since I only get out every now and then. I have an idea for how I'd like her to look, but not set in stone yet. Since they get their human disguise before they find their inspiration and new colors I tried to keep it a bit generic like Kaia here How a bagbean is born and grows up Otherwise it would be like head to toe in a kimono, geisha hair, a paraole? I think you'll be inspired by....Zebras! Wait a minute... xD I did give her a little inspiration early on though with a white shirt and pleated long black skirt similar to a Japanese school uniform, but very generic. She has red bow on her tail in her hair instead as a human.

BUT your dancing idea could still work. Humans can sometimes come through and visit Beans on the other side. (I dont know if beans ever appear as beans on the human side though) so maybe the human came through with her and they both are preforming to show off the dance for everyone. I would love to see this dance! ;A; Also omg those kimonos are stunning! I love this briliant red one especially 67.media.tumblr.com/b267a41707… I picture Kim in red for sure. (She has a blue yukata here bc its water for the koi on it) If she becomes a royal one day you can bet she will have elegant clothing like these.

you might like the ceremonial tea dresses also then XD its called a "Qi pao" (google that nonsense, they are gorgeous and red). I used to have a gold one, with blue and red tea pots sewn onto it... lol and i have a red one. my mums side of the family is from taiwan so lots of the beautiful dresses in the family. there is a really awesome ... male version also, its not chinese or japanese though (check out the old korean means formal wear for archery and stuff, its quite pretty. long elegant man skirt-pants XD it... may be still called a hanfu. lol

i'll have to ask griffsnuff and see about the humans coming to visit beans.

oh boy, used to be when i was younger i had big derpy dreams for if i won the lottery (that i never play). Something like travel the whole world and move to some crazy awesome place and live off the interest! Now its more boring. PAY OFF MY HOUSE AND GET A SLIGHTLY LESS CRAP CAR - and live off the interest XD i dunno maybe.. buy the 180 acres of land for sale across the street.

I'll have to try this moving stuff around, i tend to... never draw the neck.. long enough in sketches.

Yea, probably best to know more about how it works. I remember a part about humans coming to the bean world to visit, but don't know how it works the other way around.

If you get one perhaps you can! You could work your way up from repairing peoples items all the way to elegant ballroom gowns for the Queen or something.

Pay bills, buy a house, road trip with friends, visit international friends! all kinds. We can dream lol

i'll have to look into japanese traditional formalwear ^^ not so familiar with it - but its neat to learn something new. and YES exactly like that! im pretty sure i've seen another kdrama hes in :3 its crazy how that outfit is all dark and brooding XD

I'm struggling with one of Kim's hands right now XD freaking hands. even 4 fingered hands are kicking my butt.
