First canine pattern!
Introducing the new timber wolf cub. (The mother soon to come) This one half of an art trade with the wolf mother is the next half. He is about as big as my fawn, but with a skinnier body and altered head. Despite the spiral of crochet stitches it was straight enough to allow for a color change. It isn't as symmetrical as I would have liked, but that's crochet for you. He is poseable as usual, expect since he has a fluffy long tail, I made that poseable too. The ears were the hardest thing. This little guy is so small and my thin triangle ears didn't look very good on him. So I had to make up something up. They are bushed on the back to be fluffy but not on the front to look crisper. I need some more practice with all over brushing. Its fine but it ends up all one length. The tail I made longer, but for things like the face certain areas need more fluff.
Eventually I will make some more of these, but I'm pretty much going to be busy for the rest of the month. I have a few canines in line, I wish I could keep them all long enough to take a picture together, but probably not. I'm always taking requests, but you might have to wait a little while.

Lots of stitching and restitching haha. I made this pattern up because I wanted to try to get the coloring spaces over his eyes correct(or as close as possible with yarn). I don't like to use felt to make details if I can help it. So even though crochet stitches spiral, being this small in scale it doesn't show up to badly.

So when you brush something to make it fuzzy, do you just go over it with a dog brush? Or do you do something different?

Its all with a dog brush. I brush each piece individually before attaching them. I wish I had something smaller because it can't get in close and do detailed spots. As far as power though the wide flat brush with a handle is great because it takes less effort and the wires work wonders.

You're welcome! Mine has a slight curve also, it helps with not scraping into the piece but across the top of it instead.

On a side note: I will be hopefully starting a job soon, finding out the details on Tuesday, so I'll be able to buy the yarn for our trade by the end of the month, so I can start my half ^.^ So you're not wondering what's going on and worried.

My internet has been really wierd. It stormed and now its been messed up. Sometimes it will work and other times it wont even dial. I never thought dial-up could get even slower than it already is but it is now. Hopefully we will get wifi soon. Bluegrass has a super fast router now, only 3 bucks more a month for their internet and its wifi, we have dial up and it is crazy slow. We need to save up the $100 to purchase the actual router but after that it will be no sweat. $54 a month is awesome, unlimited everything, and super high speed. They have a mifi thing too that is cheaper but the router will be faster.
