Velociraptor I made for the Dinosaur contest atwww.deviantart.com/journal/Din…
Before anyone comments about feathers, I'm sticking with the Jurassic Park versions. I love JP ever since I first watched it. Inaccurate or not I still love it.
Anyway, here is my entry. When I saw the theme was going to be Dinosaurs, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to make this guy. I have big plans for him and future Velociraptors. The skin pattern is made with fabric markers since this was the first time making one. Everything is poseable except his inner toes.
I wanted to make an open moth for him like I did with Titan, but since he is smaller scale, it didn't work out as well. Plus, Titans teeth go outside his mouth like a T-rex, Velociraptors dont, so I couldn't get it to work as well.

exactly thats how i feel to me Raptors will always be the JP ones, they are in my fave games of all time Dino Crisis 1 and 2 if they were feathered chickens in those games they would have sucked lol

xD I was totes gonna make something for this, but got busy. I had an inkling feeling you'd make something too. I was going to make something like this, but I was going to base it off the pokemon Archeops! This looks awesome

:3 I couldn't pass up the dinosaur theme! I've gotten behind on contests and have been missing the deadlines lately, so I really wanted to make this one.
I hope you will finish it! Archeops is a neat Pokemon! It reminds me of a Transformers Beast Wars toy I had when I was a kid www.tfw2005.com/resources/atta… I still have him, along with a lot of my toys. xD even though I like vehicles, I love the Beast Wars toys better than the vehicle transformers lol

There's no time for the contest XD But I have a bunch of unfinished dinosaurs it inspired me to do. I would sometimes catch beast wars growing up, but the art was too weird for me to get into.

No complaints here with Jurassic Park velociraptors! Inaccurate or not, they look WAY cooler being big and scaly instead of small and chicken-like. UGH, I've wanted to make a velociraptor for ages, I think you hit the nail on the head with this one! I always love how springy and spry your amigurumi look. I hope you get some more photos of this guy in action with his awesome poseable limbs!
He's such a nice little size, you can make a whole fleet dinosaurs! And you definitely rocked the stripes and markings, those little dots really add a lot of detail. Omg, I gotta calm down.

I know right? XD A big monster as tall as you are is much scarier than a rooster with teeth.
I've wanted to make one for a while as well, but I wanted to do an open mouth on them. So I could make them do cool attack poses and stuff. Even though I couldn't make it work on this one, I'm pretty happy with it.

I'm going to make at least 2 more Velociraptors like this. Something I used to do with my bestfriend is talk about what it would be like to have Velociraptors as pets. I had three and she had two. Mine I called Toothpaste Velociraptors, because they were Cinnamon (this one), Wintergreen, and Spearmint xD

After I do the other ones like this, I think I'll go back and make one of them where they have feathers on the arms and tail, and brush part of it to look like feathers on the rest.
