EDIT 10/02/15: If you're doing inktober I strongly recommend you to take a look at this tutorial! I've been getting a ton of questions that can be answered here c:
EDIT 10/05/2015: Fehnryr suggested an amazing site for editing your traditional art pics if you want an alternative from photoshop & softwares. Use www.ribbet.com/ to raise contrasts, make colors pop and make your pics as great as the real life drawings! Thank you Fehryr for the suggestion!!
EDIT 10/04/2016: It's that time of the year again! how are your inktobers going?

Thank you! this may not answer your question, but overall, go for quick and precise lines - they are always better than the shaky slow ones. If you can't do quick lines, practice that on a separate sheet of paper until your hand/arm gets how to do it. This kind of linework is more about the movement of your arm than the movement of your wrist.

Obrigada
Sorte comigo está

This was honestly so helpful. Thank you so much for posting this. I've always wanted to be able to draw cool, quick sketches; most of my artworks are really detailed and take forever to finish, and I've envied those who could do quicker and beautiful sketches. (When I say quicker, I don't mean in a shorter time span, but doodling, more like). And this year, I'm participating in Inktober for the first time, and this is really helpful. Again, thanks a lot

thanks a lot!
just one question: what kind of paper do you use, I'm asking because mine always seems to be either too thin or too absorbing. (Ink shows through on the other side, annoying in sketchbooks)
Sorry if you already answered this somewhere
