Description

Sparkle curled up into a ball, holding the egg close. She never felt an egg cold as a rock before. She wondered if the Pokémon inside was even alive. She had experience with eggs before, Iron taught her and so did her trainer when he had someone to help him with his first egg he received by a family friend. She pressed one of her ears against the egg and listened. It was quiet, but she heard a heartbeat slowly beating. Sparkle smiled a bit, she was glad to hear it was alive, but it was still cold, which was odd. Mostly eggs that are cold are meant they were abandon for a long time. Sparkle lifted her ear off the egg and stared at it. She was curious what was inside. Too bad Leon didn’t see anyone with it or saw whoever abandon it. Then she could make a guess. Sparkle snuggled it closer to her, trying to keep it warm.
“Don’t worry, little one. You’ll make it.” Sparkle spoke softly. “I know you can. Don’t worry, I’ll never leave you or abandon you. I’ll make sure you’ll make it. I’ll do whatever it takes to keep you alive. I promise, little one.” Sparkle nuzzled the egg with her nose. “I promise.”
“Sparkle?” A voice came from her entrance of her bush nest, she created while the gang was staying in the area. Sparkle looked up and saw Stara, looking at her. “Where’s Leon?” She cautiously looked around inside the bush.
“Out, I guess. We don’t stay together at night much.” Sparkle answered. “I’m not really ready for that anyway. We have a couple of times, but I don’t really like it. Besides he leaves in the middle of the night anyway.”
“I don’t blame you, he a bit weird.” Stara flicked her ears. “I am glad you found someone, but still…..I’m worried…..I take it that’s not your egg, unless you guys-”
Sparkle blushed red and snapped, “Heck no! That’s a line I’ll never cross unless I’m official mates with someone!”
Stara flinched and blinked. “Sorry, I had to ask. So who is it’s? Leon’s?”
Sparkle shrugged. “I don’t know, but Leon found it.”
“Is he not going to help you with it?” Stara tilted his head.
“I don’t know.” Sparkle sighed. “I wouldn’t mind, I don’t want to raise it alone, but he really tried to avoid the answer when I ask. He said he would though in a sense. It is a big step though. Even I’m not ready for it, but…..I couldn’t just leave it. Someone has to look over it until it hatches and learn the ways. I know how to raise eggs anyway. I helped my trainer when he obtained eggs from other trainers and day care people.”
“I understand.” Stara blinked again, sitting down.
There was a moment of silence, Sparkle tilted her head. “What’s wrong?”
Stara shook her head. “Nothing, I’m just worried about you……And there’s something….I should tell you….”
Sparkle perked up her head and ears. “What?”
Stara hesitated for a moment, unsure whether she should tell her or not, but then she spoke. “Something bad is approaching in the future…..I….I don’t know what it is, but it’s bad. For you….It’s become clearer over the past few months you have spent with Leon….but it’s not focused on what will happened…..” Stara lowered her ears. “I…keep seeing you upset….well…devastated really……And I think it has something to with Leon….I don’t know what, but it’s bad…”
Sparkle couldn’t speak. She just stared at Stara. She knew Stara, and she wouldn’t lie, not even if someone told her to. Stara always spoke the truth, especially to Sparkle. So whatever Stara was seeing, it was true. But what could it be? Why would Leon have something to do with herself being devastated? Sparkle tilted her head. What could she mean? I know I sometimes have doubts about Leon, but he’s still nice. It’s hard not to trust him. He’s there when I need him and he’s someone I can talk to. Even though I hadn’t told him everything about me. Which he probably has done the same. I don’t blame him though. We are close, but not that close.....I think we need to be…..If I am going to keep this egg, I’ll need someone to help me raise it. I doubt Stara and the rest will help me….I think it’s time to talk to Leon.
Stara sighed. “I’m sorry, I know you think we all hate Leon and will do everything to make you doubt him, but-”
“No,” Sparkle interrupted her, “I trust you. I know you wouldn’t lie, Stara. I’ll be alert, and careful. Alright?”
Stara was silent again for a bit, then she nodded once. “Ok, if you say so…..I’ll see you tomorrow, alright?”
Sparkle nodded. “Yeah, tomorrow.”
Stara was about to leave, but then something stopped her, she glanced back at Sparkle. “Um…have you thought of a name for it?”
Sparkle flinched in surprised. A name? I never really thought about it…… “Not really……” Sparkle thought for a moment, then she spoke again. “I really like the name Randy.”
Stara blinked. “What if it’s a girl?”
Sparkle scoffed. “You should know that, shouldn’t you?”
Stara just rolled her eyes. Sparkle couldn’t help but chuckle a little bit. “Well….it’s hard not knowing isn’t it?” She laid her head back down and stared at the egg. “Maybe…….I don’t know.” Sparkle was really stuck on that one.
Stara sighed, softly. “Well, think about it. It could be a boy or a girl. You’ll never know.” Stara then walked out of the bush, the leaves rustling behind her.
Sparkle scoffed, and nuzzled the egg again. “I don’t know, that one is a tough one. But don’t worry, little one. I’ll think of something eventually. Just remember, I’ll never leave or abandon you, like your mother and father. I promise, I’ll be there for you.”

Well, all the parts are OFFICIALLY done. And there's 10 Parts all together!
There would of been 9, but I didnt want to land on an odd again. Would of been fine with 8, but that didnt happen.

But! We are now done with happy times.

Now the real story begins!

And I tell you now, it's not a happy ending too much.

Most of you know from the Page 43 Part 3 , it's not going to be pretty during the rest of these parts.
So get ready for a teary story.

Sparkle you shouldn't really keep promises you can't really keep....

Idk y, but out of all of these parts, this is a favorite. You really see the motherly side of Sparkle. A side you rarely see. She kinda does it in later chapters with Eevly. But as said, it's rare. She would be a good mother, if she ever has kids
