Description
The Spheroids are a diplomatic, peaceful race of amphibian cephalapoids, they were the 3rd race to join the GGCIR. The Spheroids are very religious, they believe the only way to truly ascend is to become one with the nameless life god, in which this slow process involves genetic manipulation of their own species.

The Spheroids are 5th place in the genetic engineering market, they often sell their tech or modified organisms to other "empires" and terraforming leagues. The creatures they sell are a bit controversial, as some of them have the DNA of other sentient races, the Spheroids still refuse to speak about anything about the situation.

Before they were part of the GGCIR, the Spheroids had no name for their species or planet (still don't), they believe if they give things names, they remove their uniqueness. So because of this, GGCIR has refer to them as Spheroids, and their planet as Sphere-Prime.

You would think having one eye would be an evolutionary disadvantage, but in the cases of the Cygax and the Spheroids, you would be wrong. A Spheroid's eye can see 6000 different colors, in the dark, in a 320 degree POV, and they can see through most stealth/cloaking tech.
