I'm attempting to do this in MS Paint. It's not easy, but it's not agonizing either. My animation thing should be done by the end of Christmas break. Maybe in a couple of days if I pull an all-nighter.

This is awesome, but um could u tell me how i get the backgrounds for Island of Happiness Harvest moon? And how I can get the sprites for the characters that go with that particular series too. Not the faces but the ones where the charcter actually moves, you know? A quick reply would help me a loty since I'm making one myself.

You don't. It's 3D and 3D resources aren't ripped, sometimes they are if the resource in question is VERY popular (think of World of Warcraft), but definitely not Harvest Moon.
