Description Sternguard Devastator with Auto Cannon. This Auto cannon was "relieved" from traitor Guardsmen on the Imperial Harriers homeworld. Though originally an improvised weapon, it was later modified by a chapter Tech-Marine to be more man-portable. It has been kept in the Strenguards armory ever since.

I didn't have to do much work to get this one to work. The autocannon came from an Imperial Guard heavy weapons team and I used the arm from a Land Speeder pilot to hold the weapon. This weapon is a little ridiculous, well very ridiculous actually but I still love it

Looks like the loyalists got man-portable Autocannons again!

Compensating for something?

In all seriousness, it's awesome.

I actually shortened the barrel so its not as compensatory as it could have been! lol

Thanks though

Cool conversion. The Ammo power-pack is redundant if there is no connection to the gun. The left arm may/would have looked better if it was a normal boltgun holding arm, or was postioned so it looked like he was holding the secondary grip.

Other then that, like I said, cool conversion.

It actually isn't as you can see the autocannon appears to be clip based with the canister on the top. So in theory the back is fitted to carry a second clip.

I can see what you mean, but wouldn't the spare ammo be attached to his belt, and not (seemingly0 incorporated into the Power Pack?

With its size and bulk it would make more sense to be on the pack, though I agree that it replaces basically the entire back may be a little odd, but it makes more sense to me.

Alright, post rationalisation mode lol

The magazine for the Auto-Cannon is too be for carrying more then one or two at a time so the pack is an auto-loader. Once the weapon is empty, the marine pulls the fresh magazine out from the top of the pack and loads his weapon. He places the empty magazine next to him and another marine puts it into the pack which begins loading loose round into the magazine. He can do this himself if he has the time to but each of the heavy weapon carrying Astartes will have another squad member designated as their assistant when needed.

On an visual note, it just looked odd for him to have a standard pack and seemingly no extra ammo so I kind of slapped the pack together at the last second. Nothing that can't be fixed with a little post rational
