Love the look of this guy.

Thanks!

Ah, excellent. Β Like you, I don't check this site much.
I'm interested in a rendering similar to your Robot II, except a larger, somewhat "meaner" adult version (body proportions) with that same bio-organic look. I have a specific direction I want to go with it.
Possible?
Thanks!

Oh wow, the rendering definitely makes every little details standout more.
A very well presentation indeed.
I have never worked with Arion, how is it?
I might start looking into it lol!
Well done mate!

well it's great compared to anything unbiased. made alot of tests between maxwell, thea, fryrender, and brute force on vray(somewhat the equivalent of unbiased) and it's many times faster than anything , but you should probably get a second video card (right now i`m using an ati hd46xx for display and a gtx480 for processing/cuda)
the same robot rendered in fryrender took about 8 h, and it's the same scene, same settings.
the disadvantage when using arion is that you`re limited (if you enable gpu) to the video card memory, and that's not just for textures. i couldn`t load a 5mil poly scene even without a texture...but i didn`t have any problem with anything between 0-> 2,5mil poly

Ahhh, interesting! I always assume maxwell has the better rendering capability. But no, thanks for the analysis, this is great, I will give it a try some times in the future.
Great work again, can'wait to see more from you!

this robot is cool man, it looks like one of those pin cushion dolls but at the same time it's made of metal....
