Description
PLEASE DOWLOAD FOR FULL VIEWAll the pattern pieces are 1:1 to their actual size, so some'll need to be cropped and printed twice to come out entirely xD
This is about as bare bones of instructions as I can give for how to put these together, since I didn't want to do a full blown tutorial. If you want a basic tutorial to get you started on how to put a fleece hat together- here's the one that I worked from when I was just getting started~ My process IS different overall but it can give you some more visuals
Despite not doing a tutorial though, feel free to ask ANY questions if you get stuck and I'll be more than happy to answer as best as I can
Good luck squiddos! ;D
NOTE: Because I handsew, none of these pattern pieces have extra margins in the fabric. Keep that in mind if you plan to try using these with a machine!

I tried downloading this pattern, and when I clicked on the download link it took me to a page that said "oops the page you're looking for doesn't exist".
I really want to make this for my toddler's halloween costume!
So - now instead it's taking me to another webpage - but when I try to print it, it's only on one sheet of paper.
That can't be right?

I'm guessing it could be an issue with the web connection or the browser you're using? As I clicked on the download link myself just now and it opened it up just fine.
As from there though, what you'll need to do is save the image and load it up into an image editing software to print it out in pieces, as its just a static .jpeg- but also is at full size. .;D
Here's an online site as well I just looked up, which if you dont have an image editing program should be able to do the job: www.blockposters.com/

I tried downloading the image from the link on the right sidebar, but when I put it into photoshop to print it 1:1, it was GIGANTIC!!! Do you have any measurements for any of the template shapes so I can scale it properly? Thanks!

That's the intended size my friend! x,,D If you want to print it out proper it's gonna need to be across multiple sheets of paper, then reassembled. Any smaller than the dimensions the file is here and it wouldn't be able to fit~ :,P
I don't remember most the measurements off hand, but I know that the hat lining should be 12" tall, and 6" wide at it's longest point.
I can say in messing around with it myself by pulling it into photoshop, the image MUST be pulled in at a 300ppi resolution. I don't know why it defaults to 72ppi, but that could be where the 'giant'-ness problem is coming in for you xP

question, shouldn't the headband part say x4 and not 2. in the pic you made of one of the hats, it shows it is more then 2.

Nope! If you read the headband again it specifically says x2 Folded
You want to cut that shape out with one end of the pattern flush to a folded side- so when you open it up it's double the length. :> It cuts down on unnecessary seams and cutting- and is how all my other hats with bands've been made ;D And the final version of my squid hat only uses two bands that were stitched together

Thanks for making this~
We'll likely be using this pattern and alter it a little to make Squid-bags for the convention we want to visit next year :]
