This is a prime example of the uselessness of living with the delusion that believing in a mythology based on the idea that supernatural magic is real. If the religiously demented spent even HALF what they raised to spread their ancient, primitive, barbaric mythology on actually helping the poor instead of just preaching to them pretending that an invisible magician will solve all their problems after they're DEAD a great deal of the problems would decrease. But no they are more interested in adding a few more gullible believers to their cult so that they can pretend that 'its true cause a lot of people believe it is' which is so ignorant as to be idiotic.

Great scene from Bill Murray's remake of the classic 'The Razor's Edge' where while in the Himalya's the head of the monastery sends him off to a remote shrine where he is forced to chose between his treasured books and freezing to death. But the that character while enamored of the ideas was not the sort of delusional zealot who in fact worships not the 'god' but the book in a form of sola scriptura.

He has a point, you know. A lot of christian groups do donate to feed starving children around the world. World Vision is one of many if you want to take a look.

I would rename this "Delusion vs. Delusion", as what this deviation implies is far from the truth.

May I ask about the juxtaposition of the images in your cartoon? For people who are accustomed to reading left to right, I wonder if your message might have a stronger impact if the delusion was shown before the reality. I read a lot of manga myself, but when reading native English language cartoons, I view the images left to right.

That's just it, by their sick twisted ideology they think they're still doing good. This is why the belief in souls and salvation is inherently toxic. If they gave him food, water, and shelter, so what? He'd still be going to hell. But if they give him a bible, he may die, but who cares he'll be going to heaven! By christian theology, to save his life would be to merely prolong the darkness of his godlessness. To save his soul would save him eternally, and so is the greater good. It's only recognized for how evil it effectively is by the realization that christianity is utter bullshit, and they're just letting people die, and justifying their lack of effort with mythology. It's the same reason people pray for others rather than actively helping them. Because being a useless, shitty person is always easier than being a productive and altruistic person. Religion just grants people the liberty to be useless shitty people while believing themselves productive and altruistic.

By that logic, saying a prayer over the human race to get us into heaven and then wiping every last one of us is the best course of action.

I suppose in atypical militant atheist fashion, you have neglected to do your homework.

These missions help dig wells, raise animals, grow crops, uplift the standard of living and if all they ask in return is listening to sermons, I daresay it's a a sound trade.

But heck, nobody said you had to use facts.

This is why I have no respect for the militant atheist. They claim to stand for facts and reason, but lie in order to validate their positions.

Dude, you don't have to justify not believing in God to the world. But this continuous trashing is only dragging you down.

How very insecure.

But if you're itching so badly for something to warp into hyperbole for your resentful artwork, read this: www.npr.org/2012/07/20/1571054…

And the mission statements of these places have no mention of building churches and only churches, then hitting the road. www.irisglobal.org/missions/lo…

There's a right way and a wrong way to go about being an atheist. To paraphrase the internet; You're doing it wrong.

So you're saying that these poor people should be thankful that you 'Christians' are coming among them to give them aid and the price they have to pay is the loss of their own religious beliefs and traditions?Β  Yeah, like that is so noble!Β  The world will forever mourn the loss of thousands of ancient races and their religious beliefs because of the Christian God and his holy rollers that mowed down, destroyed utterly, or subverted them into oblivion.Β Β  Look at our own Native Americans!Β  Their language and beliefs have been nearly wiped out by the white man's God.Β  How is that improving their lives?Β  You just make more copies of yourself while taking away their sense of tradition and beliefs then feel all sanctimonious about how you've made their lives so much better.

I said, and while I'm aware reading comprehension is very poor among victims of the public school system, that is no reason to be ignorant, that the trade off was listening, not conversion.

the price has never even been listening to the sermons! So even I was overstating. Missionaries go and lend aid while talking about what they believe in because the sentiment is that in this life or the next, the missionaries are helping.Β

The missionaries don't just go there and sit in a church talking about God all day. They go out, get their hands dirty and work with the locals.

4-H, a Christian organization, works with Heiffer international to send sheep, cattle and goats overseas to impoverished nations to give them a way to start their own breeding program so they can create a ranch for these animals to spread out, providing milk, wool and meat.Β

And on the topic of the tribes here, it wouldn't have mattered if the Europeans believed in God or not, justification for the events would have been made, regardless. further, and this will blow your racist little mind, the Germans of Fredericksberg in Texas to this day, never changed or altered the treaty they made with the Commanche.Β

I am 1/6 Cherokee and I am a member of the Cherokee nation in Oklahoma. It is not 'da white man' who is to blame. It is dickheads who happened to be white. You want someone to hate? How about Andrew Jackson?

Andrew Jackson, Democrat. >_>

So now that your ignorance has hopefully been at least somewhat ameliorated, perhaps you'll stop the SJW prattle and actually learn about something before opening your mouth before talking about matters of which you command no facts and only Social Justice hyperbole.
