Hola, well there's this club i belong to that's holding a contest. The theme is using a Michael Turner character celebrating the New year. Mine is Aspen Matthews from Fathom in her standard armour. This is one of the first actual full on drawn and colored pics i've done in about 4 months so i know it's a little lacking in areas, but i definately had to enter so i thought i'd make a pic that resembeled the "witchblade" image set up i submitted long ago. I got the pose from a magazine and just went with it. Hope you like it and i hope i win!Related content

Good luck in the contest mate. I really like this one. The colors and stuff are great. The pose has a nice thing too and the way she looks is like she could kill me. Just amazing.

LOL! I dont know why but this made me laugh. I wasnt expecting confetti loll, didnβt know what the theme was when you posted your scrap of it before. Looks good, did a nice job on the armor, different style, but then again, Turner usually doesnβt stick to a normal set, witch blade, fathom, darkness, he changes the look of the armor like its alive of something, and it never takes the same form.
Nice job on the skin tones, if I were to make any kind of suggestion, id say get rid of the confetti and the hat, and put some nice fireworks in the background, leave the words at the bottom, that would look sweet with the water stuff. But thatβs just because the confetti kind of throws the picture off, but it does look all New Year.

yeah i like that about his work too. always something new and different. i believe Aspen's armour is suppossed to be sea choral that magically grafts to her.

Well dontl oose the look of the armor, all i could say to do is put some firewors in the BG, bi ones, that would look pimp.

Great piece of artwork for sure, I mean... look at it. It has great shadowing all the way on her body, which has excellent anatomy and proportions too. Her pose is a bit anime but it's kinda close to reality as well, so it looks good too. Those things on her back remind me to Baal somehow XD.

thanks for the suggestions man, i might try them...however, she is suppossed to be near water so i don't think she'd be sweating...and since i didn't do her hair as wet, then i don't know if making her skin look wet would go with the whole image....i might redraw one like that though..
