Description
Numels is small and sturdy creatures that can live is very harsh areas with lots of heat and litte watter as well as food. They use the bumb on the back (what's this bodypart called in english?) to store fat and water. The have long lashes to keep away ash and dust from their eyes. The black spots around their eyes is a way trick predators from attacking their eyes and blinding them (i don't remeber what other pokémon numels lives close to), and they have a bright furr to repel light-heat...Heh.
Green furr in a desert and a hole in the back that can shoot fire don't make sence to me so i simply wiped that part out. Becuse i'm lazy
Otherwise...
I also relized that I didn't know how cammels look so i had to use photo to look at. This is the reason why the picture is so extreamly static; it's me struggling with drawing something that look like a cammel...

The hole could be used to expel a fluid that the numel puts heat into, somewhat like sweat, thus cooling itself and scalding opponents.

Hmmm...
You made an all right camel for sure, but it's a little plain. I think this one could use a little imagination. Eerin's idea of making algae grow on numel like a sloth was a good idea (though why algae would grow in a desert is beyond me), and the hole could be turned into some sort of blowhole. I also would have liked if you'd translated numel's little tuft of hair, too.
Sorry if I'm sound ing a little harsh here. Numel happens to be one of my favourite pokemon, so I might judge this kind of thing harshly. People judge harder concerning their favourites.
Still, it's not bad for someone who's never drawn a camel before.

Maybe numel ingests some kind of green-hued phosphorous to ignite its fire, and any excess phosphorous gets stored around the hump area.
That's all I can think of for the green hump. I dunno that much about chemistry to know if something like that is even possible. Your Numel looks so cute ^^

maybe that stuff that comes out of the hole spills a bit onto the fur....

Maybe the numel could spray some red/orange smelly stuff, like a skunk. They'd kneel down to point at the foe with the thing, and squirt the stuff.

The word you're looking for is "hump", and numels live near Spindas (that would be a cool one to see you draw), Skarmory, Slugma, Sandshrew... I don't remember the rest. *shrug*

I love how you come up with realistic ideas for the pokemon, I do that in my mind. I shoulda started drawing my ideas... Ja ne.

I was thinking about the green parts being some kind of micro-plants that grow on the Numel's fur (just like algas with sloths), but I have no idea on WHY they should actually stay there...

It's a camel's "hump" and the black rings can be used as natural sun-blockers like the stripes on the sides of a cheetah's face. ^_^
