The defenders of Virtue are an elite squad of Toa Founded by its leader, Archimedes. He scouted each member out individually recruiting them into the DOV. While they are sometimes called on to assist other toa in attacks from enemy forces, they mainly combat and oppose the Insurgence of Darkness, a ruthless team of dark hunters and makuta that operate independently of the brotherhood of makuta and dark hunter's guild. Each member of the Defenders of Virtue are all highly ranked members in the order of Mata Nui.

Rosetta stoned is fucking nuts. Wanna know something cool? You know the track that goes with it, lost keys? The that long single tone you hear with adam's guitar is Justin's bass doing feedback with a bunch of effects. They definitely got more experimental with sounds and effects on that album. I tried learning rosetta stoned on bass but I don't have the right effects to play it. Have you ever looked up the lyrics for that song? They're hilarious. I can't wait to hear the new record when it comes out later this year.

While were on the topic, why not we talk about some of Tool's older albums? I currently have Undertow, and its probably the CD that I've listened to the most in my life. XD

I love undertow. Its a lot darker and angrier than the other albums. Flood is my favorite song off that album. "This song, like all the songs, is about ass sex." *plays 4 degrees* Did you know most of the songs on undertow were written with the opiate stuff? I've got the toolshed demo and its got crawl away, sober, then cold and ugly, jerk off, and hush, which were on opiate. But all the tracks are kind rougher which I like. But at this point in my life the words in undertow seem a lot more relevant to me. I think lyrically Lateralus and Undertow are what I take to heart more. I'm actually thinking about getting some of the lyrics to flood tattooed on me. Watching old videos of them live is pretty weird to cause maynard would flail around and just be weird.

Yeah. I love Undertow to. Flood is awesome. My favorite song off of the album honestly is Swamp Song, I don't know, it just seems to have an older feel. But I plan on Getting Opiate soon, once I get more money. The album I really want right now though is Aenima.

Swamp song is really good to. There's a live version of it from 2006 where they played in paris,at a certain part in the song there's a bi of a pause, well here they stop all together, danny gets up and fiddles with some symbols and Maynard's like "you okay?.....ya sure? MAH WARNING!!!" and hey all just crash right back into play its epic. It used to be on youtube, but the video is gone now.

With tool you can never know. I don't even try to predict what they'll do on their next albums cause they're always a lot different than the previous one. But I'm pretty sure that they'll take their sound and evolve it more. 10KD was their best mixed album and best sounding album yet. All the instruments were nice and audible, the bass and drums didn't get lost in the mix, everyone's instrument played equal roles. They even mixed Maynard's vocals down into the mix with the instruments. And they experimented a lot with effects. I can only guess that the new album will be a lot more of that. Its really unpredictable with tool. And give the guy's ages, this could be that last full album we tool fans get. Maynard wants to focus more on his wine making and everyone else has their own things going on.

Maybe. Some people didn't like 10kd, it wasn't as critically acclaimed as others were. I don't care I think they just keep out doing themselves each album. ANd now they're freakin gods of musical genius. Did you know that if you stick virginti Tres and wings for marie part one back to back its the same length as wings part two? And they sync up at the end to. Its freaky that they think of shit like that.

Tell me about it. Then there's lateralus which uses the Fibonacci sequence, which is a mathmatical equation to determine spirals or something like that. Those guys do some weird stuff with their music. They're pretty into some occult stuff to, Danny especially.
