Wow man, VERY impressed. Reminds me of a highly active nebula gas region, kinda like the Eagle Nebula and Crab Nebula had a kid xD. I love stuff like this; if the night sky looked like this around here, I'd never sleep. Awesome job.

Lol true; I mean I guess it's important, but if you ask me air is WAY overrated; so is gravity.

PlasmaX7 In reply to FingersCreateDestroy [2009-05-29 15:26:33 +0000 UTC]

Who overrates gravity? I, personally, would like to have a fluctuating gravity field. Heavy days to keep us strong and light days so we can bounce around

FingersCreateDestroy In reply to PlasmaX7 [2009-06-01 15:26:13 +0000 UTC]

That is an AWESOME idea. We should give it a few more years at max for NASA and co to figure that out, but that's really something that should get done. Having a bad day?!? Just step outside, and not only look at the clouds, but float right up along with them....that'd make life worth it completely imho.

I like it.. but i think there should'nt be so many stars over the clouds, it looks like the clouds are transparent, and it would look much better solid. very nice piece though

Over the last few deviations, your nebulas, your planets, all that, have become techincally brilliant, more work to be done, as there will always be, but your work is brilliant, there's no way I could come close, even if I had continued making space scenes many months ago I wouldn't be near this, but this and the Cold Oblivion piece aren't quite satisfying, though I want you to know how great your skills have become.

Sorry I don't have more to say about the image itself, the criticism isn't flowing from my pores today, what I will suggest is really striving more than anything for depth in your composition, know from near the beginning of the process what you're going for, and depending on the piece, pump as much depth into that bitch as possible, and also try to make sure each element is serving a purpose other than space filling, compositional devices, such as planets and the clouds have to lead the eye to your main point of the image. Hard to explain and I'm starting to ramble, but i think of a sort of valley of (fantasy ;D) space clouds, the eye is being lead through the valley, and it will have depth, this looks just a little bit like your clouds are just thrown in there, without really supporting the piece, as was said earlier, don't let the stocks pwn you. Basically I think you're aware of this already,

Long story unimaginably longer, go hard motherlover, you're doing fucking brilliantly.

however I do have to agree that the starfield/space seems to having a direct conflict with the clouds

I like the clouds, it's kinda like a melding of space and worlds. The stars really add to the depth of the piece, and I like the light spill. Of course, I'm not even a noob when it comes to this field of art, so my comments aren't going to be much of help.
