Description
Another classic Arthurian subject. The forest of Broceliande. The great Merlin is defeated by the cunning Nimue.
The classic tale of the enchanter who was wooed and then subdued by a beautiful enchantress. Or perhaps Merlin himself saw this outcome, but taught Nimue his secrets anyway, knowing that it was she who was destined to carry on in his place. Succession is a messy business.
I was shooting for a Merovingian type of look to the outfits. I added the thick black border in Photoshop, the original has a thinner version.

Another beautiful piece I really like their expressions, I can almost hear the conversation! She looks like one coy lass, and certainly a beautiful one. The details in her costume are mind-blowing (hee, how many variations do I have of this sentence?). And those vines look like they're seizing him-on the order from the enchantress, perchance? Intriguing!

Thanks again! And no, those vines are not acting on their own! Nod to you for noticing!

Heh, since they usually stay inanimate, it wasn't hard to guess that the presence of an enchantress would be having that affect Nice subtle touch, though!
