Description
Thor and SifHe has his belt of strength, his gauntlet, and of course his hammer, Mjolnir.
Sif has her golden hair.
This is not the Marvel comics version of the couple, but rather a more traditional rendering. Or at least that is what I was shooting for.

Quite an interesting version.
Doing some Edda/Norse Mythology illustrations myself at the moment, as I had plenty of contact with the subject while I was in Iceland and during my research you always see Sif from the Comic with the black hair. I have nothing against modern design, interpretation and stuff, but the golden like hair of Sif is one of her most important characteristics and I really don't see a reason for design, strong enough to give her the black ones :/ quite happy you chose to try a traditional approach. Appreciate it
Anyways, your's does seem pretty nice and I like the black and white effects you got by the patterns and textures.

Yeah, the comic book Sif is everywhere. Which is fine...just don't get the black hair either! Really appreciate the comment.

Iirc, it's bc at some point when they were younger, Loki cut Sif's golden hair and it grew back black.

Hi. Would you be willing to let me have a version of your picture without the water mark? I will be sure to always credit you, not only as plt25, unless that is your preference, but with your full name. I would also like permission to use your image for religious (Asatru) purposes, never for profit. I revere Thor and Sif and yours is literally the only image I have ever found of these two together, aside from the Marvel Comics version. I see these two as natural patrons of the small farmer, and that is the direction I would be going in any religious use of the picture. My email for this web community is strith@odinwulf.com - but sometimes an email with an attachment will get blocked there. I have another email address that I will send you if you send me an email with no attachment.

I appreciate you asking, and I'd be happy to let you use the image. I'm working on a Baldur/Nanna picture right now, that will be similar to the Thor/Sif picture.

Beautiful work. I much prefer seeing the traditional version of the Nordic myths than the somewhat corrupated one of Marvel. You did Thor very much like how I picture him

They look awesome and ready to kick some troll ass!
And did Thor steal that trisquel (spelling?) from a celt?

Thanks! And yeah, he probably leveled Lugh with his hammer and stole it.

I always look forward to seeing your multi-detailed work.
Thor's hammer looks truly Norse in charater.
