Here it is, the page I personally have been looking forward to for a long, long time now and the story itself has been building up to. That being, Solar's apology to Nymphia for how he treated her throughout the story. I talked about the theme surrounding this story before, the tropes I wanted to tackle and many other things, well this page is the result of all of those things coming together and I am so happy to finally have reached this point. Blurring the line between good and evil, turning the liar revealed trope on it's head, exploring protagonist centered morality, all of those things. I also said that Tyler running away was probably the single most significant event that has and will ever happen in these stories and this is a demonstration as to why. That was both directly and indirectly responsible for 'causing this situation to take place, a change in Solar for the better and also to launch his new character arch that he will be exploring for the third chapter. That being to prove he is genuine here and to try to strengthen Shadow and Nymphia's relationship rather than being a problem in it. I am very happy how this page came together and I really hope you guys like it. I'll let the page speak for itself from here though.
Next week, Chapter 2 concludes with Nymphia's response.

This is great character growth but I'm still worried about Nymphia's loyalty, and how that will come to play in the future.

the feels. Well I have so many looks on that situation, but I don't understand it all enough to break it perfectly down for myself.
I am glad Solar is apologizing, and I buy it, I really do, but I gotta say that change of heart was very fast. The reason I buy it is the way he says the content of the apology. But I don't wanna be the guy who says Solar was just plain evil and stuff, he had reason wihin too. Thats what I ment in my last comment to you when I was saying I wanna defend Solar. Yea Solar was extremly unfair to her, but he also was worried about his family and wanted to protect it. Bu even if he didn't trust her doesn't mean he could not give her a chance. But I was somehow fine as a reader with Solars behaviour till he said all those cruel things to Nymphia, and one of the worst to me was calling this poor, so much fighting Sylveon a "pampered" child.
I get he was angry about Tyler, and I did not know he even feels like a father towards him. Still, that provokation was very wrong. So I am glad he comes back and apologizes. What was the worst was the fight of course. Some ma saw it coming, but I was quite wondering about it. and it was hurtful to watch!

Well it's a pretty complex little sequence of events, so that's understandable.
He is genuine about this yeah, chapter 3 will delve in proving that. As far as pacing concerns, I dread the moping scene, where a character or multiple characters get sad and wonder around, moping about what we just saw. I hate the moping scene in film and movies because I find it tends to grind your story to a screeching, boring, predictable halt. So I cut that out of this, so Solar doesn't mope around and feel sorry for himself (that and I feel it would rob the scene a little too since it would make it painful obvious that he was going to do this). Instead, I went with a fade to black and white transition and the series of dialogue that's been at the bottom of each page. I can't say it necessarily was the right way to do this, pacing might be a little to fast but I think what I set out to achieve was achieved. So I'm happy with it.
As far as evil goes, I know I've talked about that before but I don't really think evil is a thing, I think people do evil for some sort of reason, things like personal gain, lack of moral beliefs, sheep mentality, questionable beliefs like the ends justify the means, believing it to be some form of justice, stuff like that. Exploring those things is pretty common for me because I think when you accept that concept, anybody is capable of it and you can grow as a person to make sure you don't fall into one of those reasons. For Solar, it was a combination of distrust, growing up differently and feeling he needed to protect somebody he loved (even if that was purely in his head). I wouldn't say what he did was evil in the general sense, but I would call it wrong and I would say he owed her an apology at the very least.
As far as the pampered child line goes, it was kind of a heat of the moment sort of thing but he was talking about how they grew up. He was a street kid and had to fight for basic things like food. As far as he is concerned, she was pampered, being adopted to a loving family and he doesn't mention parents there but his were also not very good too. Whether those feelings are fair or not is pretty much up to the viewer.
I wanted the fight to be one of if not the most uncomfortable sequences in the whole series, as that was basically when all the tensions and anger between them all came out in a heated and rather aggressive demonstration and it was basically the War part of Chapter 2 coming out in full. I hope for this sequence we're in now to be one of the most uplifting. Next page will hopefully decide that.

Uh about the plain evil, I shuld not have writed that, because that was not what I was ment to say. In fact I wanted to say exacly what you said there. Solar had various reasons, those being the ones you said. And I have a heart for Solar as a reader, and I say if he really means it, much can be saved. Well, look, the whole thing about what you should do and shouldn't do in combination with my believe in god has done much damage. Therefore this might be a sensitve topic. I believe in a greater good and a greater evil, but if we talk in a general sense, I differ: If someone punches someone in the face cause the punched one pained him for years, it is so so diffrent from someone who punches someone cause he wants to show dominant behaviour and enjoys being the bigger one. But thats a huge problem for me, in my religion their is no grey line between black and white, but I still wanna differ.
Evil to me are people who put their ego over others live, like Kim Yong Ung for example. But be sure I wanna grow in the right ways as a person and never will be a blind religion guy.

Well those are very different topics than what is being explored here, I'm more interested in individuals, the choices they make and the consequences that follows when it comes to this and its sister series. Like you said, they are sensitive and very complex topics, if I were to cover those topics in my works, I think the only way to do them justice would be to devote an entire series to them as a central theme. Otherwise I think it just come across as rushed and preachy at best.

Well it does contain variant panels but the orientation is the same, left to right, top to bottom. I save special layouts for special sequences, sort of a way to help those pages stand out. I'd love to hear what you have to say in regards to this page, this for me has been one of the most anticipated pages in the whole series.
