Hey everybody, sorry for the delays but another page to RVM, I am very happy how this page came together. Think everything I set out to achieve worked. Hope you guys like it too. Not a whole lot to say beyond that, think it's a solid page and hope you guys enjoy it. Really appreciate comments on that. Also, this comic is being uploaded to Tumblr as well as other artwork. Red's Journal:Cerulean Cave
I remember when I first came to Cerulean City, one of the things I came across was Cerulean Cave. It was a deep, mysterious cave and for whatever reason, there was a lot of fear about the place, nobody wanted to go in there and nobody wanted anybody else to go in there. Heck, as far as I know, Misty, Cerulean City's Gym Leader, has never been in there either. I was eager to see what was inside but I too got turned away, I was told it had horribly strong Pokemon and was to dangerous. I came back several times as my journey continued, but got turned away every time. Eventually I gave up on the place and decided to focus on my journey. The place had always been shrouded in tales of monstrous accounts, how many were true I can't really say but I initially didn't believe the reports that Mewtwo had been seen alive in there. He had disappeared for years, why would he be there now?
That is until Blue told me he had a battle with Mewtwo there. Blue liked to talk big but he wasn't a liar and he had no reason to lie about it. I was in Johto at the time, doing some ambassador work with Lance at the time when I was contacted. I was still skeptical about it but with the growing fear of Mewtwo's return, I decided to check it out for myself. Stepping into Cerulean Cave was a surreal experience to say the least, the Unknown Dungeon I had wanted to enter for so long. To my surprise, the place was full of some of the most powerful Pokemon I'd ever encountered, even the ones in Victory Road paled in comparison. My team though were well oiled machines, defeating them was not possible, we made our journey through the damp, blue caverns without much issue. I can say though, I am glad I got turned away in my past. The whole journey though, I was deep in thought about Mewtwo. I knew something about him that I don't think anybody else did, that even he himself did not know. If he really was here... I... I don't know what the right thing to do is. All I know for sure is, if he was here, this would be the most powerful creature I have ever faced.

A question (my other comment about the page itself will follow don't worry). Do they have an idea of Levels? Even if not: Why didn't red train his pokemon up even higher to really make sure they would win this? With Level 85--90 there would go in pretty strong. Would it take to much time?
Also if you would be in his position and you would have acess to full gen one and 2 excluding legendaries and myhical, which Team would you choose?
Also, was this intentionally?: Nothing I haven't seen before! Shows Golbat., the peak of casual encounter along with Zubat XD.

Levels are considered but only to give a general idea of how powerful somebody should be. Red is roughly around 65, give or take. Mewtwo is 70 or so. Red could be stronger due to the three year gap, putting him closer to the Gold fight (where he was around 75-80) but if Red is allowed to train, than it stands to reason Mewtwo would be allowed to train as well, putting him up to 85 or so during this fight. Either way, Mewtwo has an edge on Red no matter what happens. In the games, having a Pokemon over level 50 is unusual, most of the Elite four hover around there and if you're above 60, you're usually around the power of the champion and exceeded majority of the legedary Pokemon (with some exceptions, like Mewtwo and Rayquaza). So I like to keep that in mind when creating characters.
Well Red will explain later he put his team together with the idea of defeating Alakazam, theorizing Mewtwo would essentially be similar just stronger. Not a bad theory and it is relatively accurate but Mewtwo has way better defenses than Alakazam does, and is not vulnerable to physical attacks, which is what Red counts on in both versions of this fight. As for my team, I'd probably bring Jolteon, Scizor, Umbreon, Alakazam, Gyarados and M. Charizard X. Think that would be the safest bet, lots of physical attackers, special wall in there and multiple options to prevent a speedster from sweeping.

This comic is looking good with its visuals but, the only thing i find confusing is. How does Red have a Scizor when Scizor never existed in Gen 1? XD

Thank you! It's mentioned briefly in Red's Journal but in this cannon he was doing ambassador work over in Johto before coming to battle Mewtwo. So he has a couple Johto Pokemon as well. Thought it spice the fight up a little.
