Hey everybody, so here's an overdue piece, the promotional and title page for Solarshadow Chapter 3. The title has yet to be revealed as I wanted to wait until this was done to do that. Save or Kill. This piece shows off the new artstyle I've been developing for a while now and we also get to see pretty much every character in it to boot. There's also a few other things being shown off here. Like before with these, I wanted to come up with a promo poster that would sum up the chapter, show off what it's about, etc without necessarily spoiling the actual events of it. One exception can be seen at the bottom, the reveal of Bayonet. Wont say to much about that for now. I hope you guys like it and are looking forward to the chapter too. Should start back up in a couple weeks.

Every Scene here is made with so much care I love it. Let me split it up a Little. I am not sure what Adrian leaning over Crystalis like this. Is it a sign of "allright lets finish this how you want it too!" or is he working against her there.
Green Looks really determined which makes me hope he i Fighting not for a seflish reason this time nd stops an acutual tread, thats the first time I don't see him as a wall to overcome. I also think his new design fits quite well.
Not much to say About Rotaar, he is drawn as grea as everything else here, and he is as Cold and caculated as ever. But dont touch ma favourite warrior fairy Girl ya scumbird 
Goodra looks worried like a real mother afraid to loose her child or as she jut rejoined with him. That exspression is very well done and adds the more in the varied mixture of emotions here. Also seems little bug Swarm feels the glow , love that tease!
Solars action lets me think he is either forced on his own and man that spots look so rough, so he must fight the battle of his life. I guess against Crystalis maybe or for Tyler if it goes on with the sister story. Pose is great. Just it would dissapoint me if he still would sho ego and not fight in Team to protect Nymphia when he could.
Speaking of rough battles, man they look worked up fighting that Mega Mawile, this is by far my highlight here. The poses with the rough spots give such a great fighting picutres, but this also made me extremly worried for Nymphia. That Mawhiles exression is just great to, she really looks like she thinks she is untouchable. That pink mist is just rounding all this u so greatly and is one of my most favourite featue son the whole page.
Hope that you like my comment and I could share my expressions fine. I wodner also, were there scrapped ideas for this page in your mind? id like to know theme.

Thank you! I worked pretty hard on this, so I'm happy you like it. Aydrian is in his usual protective sort of position, though both of them are presented differently here than they usually are. Aydrean has his hood up, which he's never done before and Crystal is missing something she usually has too. The colors surrounding is are supposed to reflect what is going on with them too.
I think people will enjoy Greens roll in chapter 3 as it is both what he usually does and a departure from it at the same time. This is the first time drawing the new design for the comic itself, so I'm happy it turned out well.
All I'll say regarding Rotaar is the color black around him is symbolic too.
Goodra, Drake and Goodra are probably the most symbolic of the characters, as they will be completing their archs during this but I didn't want to spoil how that is done. Don't want to say to much about it due to that but there's a lot going on with them.
All of them will be in dire situations and Solar himself will be struggling with three concepts, proving his apology to be true, saving Tyler and keeping an ultimatum he made during Chapter 2. So he'll have a very high mix of emotions and will be throwing down during the final battles. He will be fighting both with them and on his own during it different parts it.
Bayonet is arguably the most powerful member of Crystalis team (though Aydrean is intended to be a higher level and in general more skilled) and she considers herself invincible in the mega form. That shot is the only one taken directly from the comic story, as Shadow and Nymphia will be forced to fight her due to Crystal being hired to recapture Nymphia as well. I am very happy how that panel came together and glad you like it!
It was great, thank you. I always really appreciate that. There weren't any scraped ideas for say, more just rearranging. I did change the poses some to fit their positions and that sort of thing though.

I like the art style, your old one was pretty good but the pixels were always obvious. The lines look a lot cleaner now.

Thanks, yeah I was to obsessed with producing artwork that looked unique and it resulted in style over substance I think, I think this one finds a much better balance between looking unique while producing something of quality as well.

I find a lot of the tip and tricks I find tend to work on certain styles better than anything else, so what I usually do is use them on my art and see what seems to be working about it and what isn't, shave off the part that's not working and experiment more with what does work. I find that usually results in improvement and developing my own technique. I usually do that with several different ones too.

This poster makes me excited! Shadow, Solar, and Nymphia look a little roughed up, which makes me hyped for what is to come - it sounds dangerous, and I like that. Part of me also appreciates the way Drake looks here; he has a melancholy feel to him that intrigues me, as if he is dwelling on his past. And this Bayonet character looks interesting, undoubtedly a villain with how sinister and demented they look. I wonder what their plans are, and what their motives for pursuing said plans are?
I will never stop praising the beautiful anatomy of the way you draw pokemon. Whenever artists attempt to recreate pokemon in a 'realistic' fashion, I am typically not a fan of the final product; however, this is about as close to 'realistic-looking pokemon' that I like.
I very much look forward to this comic.

Thanks, yeah they're going to be in for a scrap, that's for sure. Pretty much everybody here is symbolic in nature in one way or another, Drake probably the most so. Bayonet is warrior like in nature and she is very proud of the mega form to boot, considers herself more or less invincible in it. Here she is showing off and being cocky about it.
Thank you, I appreciate that a lot! I tend to not like the realistic looks either, can't really say why. I tend to fall into more of a semi realistic look, I am usually happy with that.
