I recently did a year long volunteer service in which I was paid to cover my apartment and then told to get food stamps to feed myself.Β In the US we can't get jobs straight out of college because we have no experience and then the only way to get experience is to work for free with debt.Β I'm lucky that the cut to food stamps came at the end of this year cause that would have been more difficult.
