They're women. Politicians these days think that women are too stupid to know what to do with themselves and must be told how to do things.
The main debate being; "Oh you don't really want to have an abortion. You're just jacked up on hormones and can't think straight! Let your husband/boyfriend/father-of-your-baby tell you what to do with yourself while you go make him a sandwich."

I'm not aware of any instances where pro-choice women have shot anti-abortion demonstrators. Perhaps if that happened even half as often as the reactionaries have shot and/or killed abortion providers or otherwise physically intimidated women seeking legal abortions the troglodytes would back off a notch or two. Anyway, I'm not advocating wasting anyone; giving the misogynists a full dose of whoop-ass when they try to physically interfere with the operation of abortion clinics is another story, however.
Anyway, a couple of the other contributors to #NGB-ProChoice have done very good jobs visualizing the theme you suggest. I don't need to duplicate their efforts.

Random comment; I don't think I've heard of any violence on the pro-choice side. All the murders and arson attempts I've heard about have been pro-lifers

This is a *tough* one for me, because I'm *totally* on yr side in acknowledging the strength of women, they should be respected, and their freedoms not impinged. It's some of the same contradiction I experience when discussing with the more thoughtful (there are some) of the Black Bloc ppl. *sigh* Military themes are especially hard for me, since that's the "real life" worst of the Empire, as we know too well.

And BTW, I am about to totally toast those Black Bloc idiots. Have you ever read Lenin's "Extreme Left-Wing Communism: An Infantile Disorder?" He wrote it in 1920, and he absolutely nailed the anarchists in that pamphlet. A bunch of self-infatuated, narcissistic, selfish and self-absorbed jerks who are so blinded by the "glory" of their own abstract thoughts that they cannot realistically assess the "objective constellation of forces" which, at this point in America at least, totally militate against the kind of random, senseless, undisciplined violence they seem to favor. All it does is alienate the very people we need on our side. If they want to call me a class traitor, let 'em have at it. I've been called a lot worse. . .as recently as today in fact.

Have you ever read anything by Victor Serge? I've read a number of his books--a remarkable person and excellent writer. His Memoirs of a Revolutionary (autobiography) is a fascinating read. Anyway, his Year One of the Russian Revolution gives the details about the struggle with the Left, and gave me at least a better understanding about the "infantilism" Lenin was addressing. I look forward to seeing your next creations!
