UPDATE 8/3/21: I've edited the text to reference the extended deadline for the Shantae Art Contest. It will now end on Saturday, August 14.

Kero! Let me begin by thanking you all for the kind birthday wishes, and thanks to all of you who drew me something for my birthday! You helped make that great day even greater. Now with July completed, let's hop into August with a brand new Frogress Report.

This month starts with updates on the Shantae Three Wishes Art Contest . As of this updated text, nine entries have been submitted. If you want to draw something for the contest, now's the time. This contest will now end on Saturday, August 14.

I should also mention that I will have some help with judging entries and selecting winners. , the Deviant I teamed up with to make the original You Wish! , will be the other judge. We're looking forward to selecting three winners and granting wishes! I anticipate having You Wish 2 and the special Wish Pic done by the end of August or in early September.

Shantae art isn't the only art you can expect in the coming weeks! I have something special planned that I hope to unleash early on this month. Without giving anything away, let's just say that it follows a familiar and popular format from last year and will cover multiple characters. It's also related to celebrations. Stay tuned this month, and you'll see what I mean.

I also hope to introduce some new OCs this season, whether it's later this month or sometime in September. I've been wanting to work on them for a while now, and I plan to do this next after the surprise pic and Shantae contest art is completed. It'll be something that I have a lot planned for, too. I hope to get it done before the end of the summer because they're based on a popular summertime treat.

My next batch of trade art has been determined, too! Up next are my good friends and . They both have cool styles, so give their galleries a look sometime!

Speaking of trades, I wanted to touch on a gallery update regarding trades. Recently I've been receiving a lot of questions about trades. I'm glad that so many of you are interested in trading with me! I'd like to lay some ground rules before the next trade batch, though:

- If you want to trade with me, you will have to had established a friendship with me. I'm not just talking about "oh hi" or casual conversation. I'm talking about a real bond. This will also go for future birthday pics.

- Effort will have to be put into the work you produce. If you draw digitally, draw with traditional media, model in 3D, or make art however you please, that's totally fine, but it has to have your heart and soul put into it.

- Don't use avatar makers, Gacha Life, or related programs when trading. I love seeing what you make in your style.

- If you have a history of not doing your trade half, then it's a no-go.
