Evolutionary Chronicle - Kane-Ra

Kane-Ra is a species of large antelope native to the deserts, scrublands, mountains and other open areas of the Mata-Nui continent. Some of the largest mammalian herbivores left on the planet after the end-Holocene extinction event, these hoofed animals have traded their fur and agility for size, strength and thicker skin, giving them an appearance similar to the Indricotheres of Earth's distant past. Kane-Ra bulls live alone, while cows and calves live together in small crashes. These migratory herbivores travel huge distances each day in search of food, able to cross the entire continent from east to west and back within a year. Although slow walkers, Kane-Ra can charge attackers very quickly and relentlessly over even a long distance, often not resting until they've trampled or gored with their horns whoever provoked them. Because of their quick temper and ferocious attacks, few animals at all would dare to approach a Kane-Ra.
