Description
More Paint Tool SAI practice guys! This time I went for a portrait of Helmut Berger in The Damned by Luchino Visconti. Which is an awesome movie and I recommend it (not for the faint at heart though), but the point is, the young Helmut Berger was a sexy mothafucka (alas, didn't age that well IMO :C) and totally adds to my retro crush list. Here's the (original?) trailer in English: [link] which is fun because I think it doesn't really represent the film, lol. But which trailer does?

Haha, thank you, but I don't think I really did him justice! He was hella hot in those years, too bad he didn't age well (sorry Helmut.)

Wtf ... I just felt really drawn to this picture and wasn't thinking it'd turn out to be Berger, but ... incidentally I watched that movie just last night! How odd?

it really is! That film is so weird/awesome ... my girlfriend said Visconti always takes the scenic route to the point. We love Ludwig.

! Ludwig is awesome. Are you interested in Ludwig 1881 as well? it's like the follow up to Visconti's Ludwig, made in the 90s with Berger, obviously not by Visconti as he was dead then but very much kept in his style ... explores as a closeup Ludwig's relationship with Josef Kainz.

Thanks!
I always think I've got to check out Mad Men, but never get around to do that. Looks like something I would like, though.

Here is my proof re: Humphrey Bogart young!

Also, MARLON BRANDO. Talk about aging badly, eh? He was a HELL of a stud back in the day.

Ooooh yes, Marlon really was something :3 To put it mildly, he... oozed sex, IMO XD
Bogart is always a safe choice. Actually I like him a lot even as an older man.

Very nice! I like the blue tones in his five o'clock shadow. My favorite vintage crush? Humphrey Bogart was VERY attractive before he reached middle age, and after that remained attractive in a bizarre, unique way.
