Second part of an art payment for omgitsacat of his boy A323 Dave .Remind me to never again think of removing a background on a traditional piece of a white horse without lineart. Thank all things fluffy for layer effects!
Here's Dave again in all his white glory. I had a ton of fun with the shading.

Thank you! Nope, I made it in Photoshop, it was fairly simple
I actually do really want to make a fully traditional animation one day, and I've been meaning to get started for a while, but get this, I need tracing paper to keep things as consistent as possible, and somehow whenever I go buy art supplies I always forget to buy it

I love the very subtle hints of purple and blue in the shadows of the coat, it gives the shading that extra level of depth!
Also... you must be a sucker for punishment... removing that background like that...

There's also some light tan/pink there, but the scanner didn't quite capture it too well (could be much worse though, all scanners I've ever owned have been known to do quite the number on white ponies, so I was pretty lucky this time 
Yes, I am. Hard designs, colours, etc., the more challenging it is, the more I want to do it. And then curse at myself throughout the entire process xD

Ah yes, I saw the pink. I was just more focused on the colours you don't normally see people use to shade white/lightgrey horses with. xD

Yeeeees. I think deep down we know that it will be very fulfilling when it's done, so we just bear with it and hope to avoid frustration in the end (because some times things just don't go as planned either!)

I had a ridiculously fun time with the shading on this one, I think it's the first time I'm fully satisfied with the shading on a white pony, so I'm glad you like it!
