Yet another epic testament to my total inability to get stuff done in a timely manner.

So. Once upon a 2018 December, one of my classmates showed up on the last day of class before Christmas and surprised our nerdy little group with gifts. And thus begins our story...

We all pretty much decided that we were to buy her and each other gifts as well after that, and I, the being of supremely good ideas, decided I wanted to make them something. The good thing about being an artist is that you can produce gifts that come from the heart yourself, right? Right?

Well, if you're a master procrastinator and also work while studying, it's a terrible thing. Still, I was adamant that I wanted to make something myself, and so spent the entire Winter break deciding on what I wanted to do.

The idea to make them bookmarks came to me at around the beginning of February, right around when school was about to start again. Not a problem, I thought, there's still time. But then I had no idea what to draw for each of them.

One week before school started, I had come up with ideas. Oh well, I thought, I'll have to give my gifts a bit later.

"A bit later" became June.

When people say "Better late than never" they've obviously never dealt with people like me.

Now onto what's behind each of these:

- The gymnast: for my awesome aerobic-gymnast friend who competes in international level representing our country. I drew this based on a screenshot I took of a video of her in a recent competition. Yes, it's a person. Incredible, I know.

- The cat: for my awesome totally-a-cat-in-disguise friend who actually also has a DA account and suffered irl through Inktober with me DaisyDoveMeadow . I wanted the cat to be based off her own demon lovely cat, but said cat happens to be that really dark brown shade that I can't even get right on horses, let alone something I'm not used to working with like cat fur xD So. Let's say she's bleached out her colours a little bit, yes? >_>

- The bunny: for my awesome companion-on-the-car-rides-to-college friend with whom I have the best conversations about stupid people on the road. This is her bunny, Akira. He's made of fluff and love and was just a little baby when college started, now he's a big handsome boy. Might also be part demon.

- The Lugia: for my awesome owner-of-a-nail-and-hair-saloon-and-astrology-business friend who actually owns neither of those things. He loves Lugia and we have discussed this a couple of times before, and I can never pass a chance on drawing one of my favourite Pokémon of all time.

And lastly, because I was on a roll when I did these, I decided to throw in a little something for my little sister LivingInThisFantasy who began working in a library earlier this year, and has been spending her paychecks on books, oops! (Well, not really but a little bit). For her, I drew something based off a scene from the Houseki no Kuni anime/manga. Padparadscha and Rutile 'cuz we love those two gems

And which once again reminds me why I hate watching and reading things when they're still coming out. I hate the wait between new anime seasons and manga chapters so much.

And now onto uploading ponies. I swear I'm also still drawing those haha.

Rutile, Padparadscha and Houseki no Kuni (Land of the Lustrous) belong to Haruko Ichikawa.

Lugia belongs to Nintendo.
