Description
After being questioned a lot of times (even by close friends of mine) if I had gotten implants, and after a LOT of thought on the subject of "should I post something like this?" I thought to myself: why not?Lately this has been a major part of my cosplays and I know not having enough cleavage is a reason many girls end up not cosplaying some characters... and that's just sucky =[
So I hope you enjoy! =]

You made a comment about faking boobs, but you didn't really have a justified reason for doing it.
This artist has made this tutorial to help women with small breasts (like MYSELF) make them look bigger so we can cosplay characters more efficiently.
Also, the first cosplayer is a gender bend of a male character. So boobs really don't matter there.
The second one is a humanized Judy Hopps, who doesn't have breasts so it doesn't apply.
The third is Fiona, who is a teenager who has small breasts in the actual show too.
The fourth wouldn't actually need the cleavage tutorial as the costume doesn't require big breasts
And the fifth, is a gender bend as well
Sure costume plays into it, but this is for costumes that show cleavage. Not just boob shapes under cloth (like all your examples are).
When you can find me someone who has cosplayed as Jessica Rabbit or the Fifth Hokage successfully with small breasts, you let me know. Because until then your arguments are invalid.

So I can't make a comment about fake boobs in a tutorial about fake boobs?....
Seriously stay in the comfort zone sweetheart.
This artist has made this tutorial to help women with small breasts (like MYSELF) make them look bigger so we can cosplay characters more efficiently.
So you feel complexed about your breast size?...... I'm sorry but I don't encourage this pathological insecurity complex. You know I would expect that someone who experience this would appreciate other peoples different appearance. My bad. Go on by all means, keep telling yourself how all those cosplays don't apply because you say so. Oh that's right, when I complain about a cosplay I'm evil, but when you twist other peoples cosplays to support your superficial approval that's okay right? Hypocrite just doesn't quite say it.
When you appreciate other people's cosplay and don't focus of cups let me know.

"Oh but if a guy fakes a large penis he has insecurity issues, but if a girl fakes big breast it is rude to expose her for the liar she is right?"
You weren't complaining about cosplays, you were complaining about how unfair it was that men couldn't get away with making their penis look bigger without getting called insecure.
Stop telling me to go into my safe space mate, I'm not some leftist feminazi who's offended by everything. I was simply trying to defend this artist from your stupid claims that they are encouraging women to lie about breast sizes.
Also, you can call me a hypocrite if you want, but all the cosplays you showed had COVERED CLEAVAGE. This tutorial, is for displaying of cleavage, and thats why I didn't agree with you on that front.
Do I think those cosplays look good? Sure I do, but it didn't work with the argument you were presenting and so it was invalid.

Sorry to break it to you darling but if I see a good cosplay yet that cosplayer says that it suck just because she didn't fill a cup I would definitely think she has insecurity issues.
Also, you can call me a hypocrite if you want, but all the cosplays you showed had COVERED CLEAVAGE.
Yeah to show you THAT CLEAVAGE DOESN'T MATTER!! What kind of imbecile will show you pictures focusing on breasts while making a point about the irrelevance of breasts huh? You are the one who's focusing on breasts, I'm not. Learn to differentiate will ya? And as for the faking penis stuff. I was watching this program where that some dude tied a sausage to his leg at a club to make his dick look bigger, but the rope cut off his blood flow, an they can't stop talking about his insecurity. Because unlike you I don't think that I have to fake my body to gain approval. Another good question will be. What kind of idiot tells a girl that she shouldn't worry about her chest while he fakes his own penis huh? I'll say it again. You are the one who's focusing on your body, I'm not. Learn to differentiate will ya?
and thats why I didn't agree with you on that front.
An that's why I tell you that if you can't handle disagreement STAY IN THE DAMN COMFORT ZONE! If you can't handle rejection what kind of cosplayer are you?
I made a comment that you don't like. Deal with it. I'm done wasting my time. Reply if you want or not. I'm not gonna read it. I have better things to do that hearing you. Oh but going out in public wearing tiny revealing outfits, that on the other hand you can handle it right?!! I mean it's not like you are the kind of person who can't handle reading a bad comment right?... Oh wait a minute. You are!

Of course they'd call him insecure, he did it because he wanted to make his penis look big and that was his only reasoning for it.
I do it, because I want to successfully cosplay a big breasted character, and I want to be able to compete in cosplay contests.
You do not know anything about me, because you ignored half of what I was saying to try and justify your own points. I never once said I don't appreciate covered cleavage cosplays, I simply said how you showing them doesn't really apply to this because this tutorial wasn't for covered cleavage cosplays.
But y'know. Have fun telling people to cover up instead of cosplaying how they want.

I agree with you Meeka-Moo. While not all cosplays require large/small breasts, if you are trying to faithfully replicate a character as closely as you can, certain tricks (like this one) can really help. To put it from a male perspective, trying to cosplay Kamina (TTGL) does not require the guy be muscular, but being able to use contouring techniques like bronzers can help add definition to make him look truer to the character. Now if you naturally match the physique (face, body proportions, musculature, stature ...) then you do not need to rely on these techniques to pull of a more convincing cosplay.
Zidneya, you were changing the topic of the discussion by saying "boobs don't matter". For some people, staying as faithful the the design of the character as possible is important. Finding the right color wig, proper decal for a cloak, wearing colored contacts, or mimicing a character's swagger can be as much a part of the character's design as his muscle definition or cleavage. If you were trying to paint your car to look like the General Lee (Dukes of Hazzard), using the right interior, exterior paint color, flag design, is part of it. But if you put low profile tires instead of P235/70R14 B. F. Goodrich Radial T/A tires with the blackwall side (or as close as you could get), it is missing a piece of it's personality. While any set of tires will let you drive around, only one style will fully invoke the spirit and personality you are attempting to replicate. This is the same for cosplaying a bustier character. A small breasted woman can cosplay Jessica Rabbit, but for that character, her bust size is an integral part of the character's design, thus the need for techniques such as this.

Well, I mean people aren't there to show them off. They're there to try and be the character. I don't know too much about the world of cosplaying, so it really depends on whether or not the show/game/whatever they're cosplaying from tends to have busty female characters. In that case, then yeah, you might see it quitd a bit as the characters' appearances are replicated.

This is one of the most creative tutorials Ive seen on DA.
And just like the ... I believe it was dove ... commercials where they went back wards and forwards through all of the touch up work in advertisement to show that there are normal real girls underneath, this should hopefully help some other girls feel better about the whole concept and bring some confidence that they too can achieve "Comic book boobs".
And my god, I think that I have a new favorite comments war going on, "Nice guy whining" just tickles me. This is a subject that seems to have what... a 5 sided internet argument going for itself?
But again, wonderful tutorial there pomp-berry, I am left wondering if men can do something similar, of course forcing a superman esque jaw line might just be a bad idea.

She specifically said this is for cosplay purposes only mate. Sometimes you need that stuff in cosplay when a Character has a more revealing outfit around that area.
In cosplaying the goal is usually to look as close to the portrayed character as possible and she made up a good way of working around biological limitations to achieve that.
Just see it as such don't read too much into it. She made a YT Video too where she briefly says that this is not for everyday use.

I understand that it's not as important for everyone but fun isn't the same for everyone. Take my best friend for example. She's a cosplayer for like... 7 years now.
For starters she usually only makes Cosplays which are in a general vicinity of her chest size since it's her (and tbh my opinion as well) that she can't portrait characters not matching that by a huge margin very... convincing.
She just wouldn't look as good wearing a Cosplay Character with an enourmous chest than she does wearing character like San or Ciri.
Since she is ambitious to look as close to her character of choice she goes for the characters she likes and fit her general figure. She then proceeds to pour tens or hundreds of hours into said Cosplay and by the end she looks absolutely amazing and people left and right ask her to get pictures from or with her when we run around on convention.
This is the part which makes it all worth for her and she always jumps around like a little girl when someone she knows likes one of the pictures that make it to Facebook.
She herselfs wants to be as close to a character she cosplays to be satisfied and if that means stuffing socks in the bra then let the stuffing begin.

This is only for people who cosplay as busty characters, and have smaller busts than the character does. They want to look as close to the character as possible, like any cosplayer.
It's not encouraging girls to feel insecure about themselves only for having small busts. This is intended for cosplay, not for everyday use, trying to look more "attractive," etc.
