Description I don't own this picture, but I think you people should know what the Lost World island in the Jurassic Park novel looks like and it shows the terrian and habitats. (some things in the picture are deleted)

(If one wants to know what the square mileage is, it's 19.305107927 to 21.23561872)

Quite some time ago I discovered a interesting site, for both books. Go to Wikipedia.org type in Jurassic Park { Novel }
then scroll down to external links and click on Isla Nublar novel map! Cool reading did get a couple or few facts wrong, otherwise quite good.
Yet the One thing I never realize is the general land area could be vastly different as in General Land Area by Dimension / General Land Surface Area being greater.
I do disagree on his general assessment for Isla Nublar for a couple of facts from the book. As for the map closer to the end he has roughly figure what Isla Sorna's dimension are
5.1 miles by 4.8 miles so I figure 20 sqm. Past ref. on Dec. 5
, 09 so for surface area could be roughly give or take 27.5 sqm. As for Isla Nublar, there was no general ref. as to the land area mention as if it was in general area or surface area is not! So I do figure 22 sqm is the general area for the land and the surface area should be roughly 32 sqm.
This is my own general assessment, in thought!

In Rob DeSalle & David Lindley book " The Science of Jurassic Park & the Lost World " On page 156 they figure it could be 100 square miles, plus, possibly. Couple or few obscure sources as on the map say 50 or 55 sqk.
I could be wrong. Yet lets say in area 100 sqk
{ 38.610215854 sqm } With An ingenious system in determine the size I used a grid system in a very rough layout! With the map.
{ Enlarged/Printed out } For the size 7.75 L 6.625 W give or take.
Still all this could still be questionable. That could be pausibly decent yet small size for the island needed!

For the longest time. I have debated what the general dimension of the island is? For some reason I believe it came to me as possibly as being 6 miles by 4 miles. Give or take in the general aspect for the size and shape. Even for what sources that I have read as possible others have read. For it's general area.

Well, I've thought that too. But I'm only saying what the book said.

True, could be larger! Then there would be possibly more land area to it. I have tried numerous of times to try to measure it properly. Yet lets not forget, the terrian. One might travel 5 miles, yet it might actually be less in a straight line.
