This is a bit of fanart inspired by 's amazing story Tales from the House of the Moon . It's an absolutely addictive piece of fanfiction featuring Kagome and Sesshoumaru. I usually stick to canon pairings like velcro, but the author excels at keeping everyone in character and utterly believable. Really, I can't put into words how much I love this story. If you haven't already, go read it!It's a scene from Chapter 19. This was hell to sketch out... Every time I'd go to the story for reference on their pose, I'd end up rereading all the scenes I liked and wasting way too much time in which I could have been drawing.
Originally, it was meant to be a speed painting (15-20 minutes max) but I ended up putting a bit more time into it. I've got some other fanart for the story I'll upload as well.There's a bunch of really lovely art inspired by Resmiranda's stories at the club:

I loved this chapter. I'm currently on chapter 22, and plan on reading the whole thing. You did a wonderful job of capturing what was happening...its almost exactly how I saw it in my head...only better.

This is completely awesome! I am eagerly awaiting CH32 from Res. What version of Photoshop do you have? Did you paint any of it by hand, if so, what kind of paint did you use. It looks like watercolor or acrylic. Awesome piece, I love you.

You succeeded! I love it! I had to ask a perosn though, and she also said it looked like both. SO you fooled us! I only have crappy photoshop 4.0.... it's crappy, but it does work, so I guess we must be happy with what we've got. Usually I just sketch or do photography.

I really like the style of this piece. Beautiful work.
I've been seeing a lot of fan art for this fanfiction... I think I'm going to have to look into it. Although I typically prefer Inuyasha x Kagome fanstuff, the Sesshoumaru x Kagome stuff is oddly interesting and refreshing
