These creatures are the born from the grotesque mind of scythemantis. You can find out everything about all necromon on his site....
The thing is, when I was pixelating his necromon I had quit after a while and I never got back to scythe. Reasons were that I was putting too much time in spriting and not enough time in school stuff. (school sucks). But I never told him and just kept silent. Really awfull of me, yeah. Scythe, if you read this, I'm sorry and if you want, I'd like to start spriting for you again.

hmmm... i thought i left a comment on this a while back, but apparently not. well, i love these little guys and i told some friends on devart about them, but i guess i forgot to say something myself. i love the choice of colors and the wide variety of monsters. you're pretty good at making these pixel sprites. i like the fat blue thing and the red crab-looking thing above it. i also like how you can see the brain inside that purple thing on the top row next to the thing with all the syringes in it

Dude, you coulda said so, I already thought you were working way too hard on them! It's no big deal. Since making a game is really friggin hard, my new plan is a series of Necromon flash cartoons, satirizing anime and horror films in general. Expect those to crop up in a year or two (I want to get reasonably good at flash before a tackle something this complex)
Yeah, I designed these monsters, but Tim brought them to life as the supah-rad sprites here. I have hundreds of the things and he almost wanted to do them ALL. I think it would've killed him! You can read a little bit about their world on my main DA page now.
Anyways Tim, if you ever do find the time, you should make some sprites of those monsters you came up with, I thought they were really great! I'd love to see them fully colored and detailed. My favorite was either the worm-ridden mutant snapping turtle or the guy in the barrel. The pool of blood was cool, too.
You'll still be in the credits if a game ever DOES somehow happen (I'd just need programmers with a load of time on their hands, and you know how hard THAT'll be. Us computer people have to beat the chicks-driving-vans-full-of-chocolate-pi es off with a stick, y'know?!)

what can I say? They're all so wonderful, just the sort of creatures you'd expect to find in a forgotten foggy swamp. The colours are so vibrant and their facial expressions give them great unique personalities. I love doodling made up monser thingies too; this is most surely a favorite.
