Description
Overview: The Technobots are the advanced and intelligent yet ancient group of explorers and scientists, who once served under Quintus Prime for their journey to explore new world for creating new life. The exploring group consisted of the confident and composed leader Scattershot, the sharp but cool Breakaway, straightforward Crosswise, curious and intelligent yet absent-minded Nosecone and hotheaded pessimist Afterburner.

Details: Technobots are the last and final team to be added to Transformers Prime IV: Guardians. Truthfully, the Technobots are not supposed to be in the story originally because they're another group I find to be least favorite due to how boring and talkative they can be especially when they combined into their Combiner from G1. They're too boring for me to like.

While I was working on Transformers Prime IV: Guardians storyline, I gave some thoughts of how it begins and ends, basing the story on almost all pilots/first episodes from every Transformers Media including Live-Actions Film (I-V including Reboot). Somewhere in middle, I gave some interesting thoughts about adding Combiner Wars (since Decepticons has five Combiners while Autobots have less) and using Emberstone as both plot point and relic why Decepticons wanted to find and use on Earth. So, I came up with the idea of human heroes and Autobots tried to find the answer by seeking out the ancient ones, who knew about the secret. And the Technobots are the ones to fit in the role.

While the Technobots are based on G1 Version, there's some changes on them such as the replacement of characters such as Breakaway took over Strafe and Crosswise replaced Lightspeed. The designs are not only based on G1 Version, but also their counterparts such as Scattershot and Crosswise from Cybertron, Breakaway from ROTF Game, Nosecone and Afterburner from IDW. Instead of Cybertronian Vehicles, I decided to use 1980s vehicles for Technobots (except Nosecone's whose completely based on GUTS Dig from Ultraman Dyna) to use since they're ancient and also reference to 1984 premier of G1 Episodes. These group are yet another challenging group to design.

1) Scattershot

Voice Actor: Richard Ian Cox

Personality: A Texan-Accent Cybertronian Explorer and Scientist, who served as both leader and commander of Technobots. Initially nervous and uncertain, Scattershot proved to be confident and composure commander, who organize and prioritize his forces and mission well while not getting himself distracted. He is also quite generous and compassion explorer, who wanted to use science and technology for peace than war, but he also believed it is necessary to fight and protect his allies such as the use of Enigma of Combination on his team to become Computron and destroy Emberstone as last resort if failed to get it from the enemies. He also served as mediator for his teammates of whatever debates they have to deal with.

Though he's not truly intelligent, Breakaway is adventurous, flexible and adaptable fighter and explorer, who enjoyed learning and trying new stuffs and culture. As a flyer, he specialized with flight capabilities and aerial acrobatic. He's also a sharpshooter expert, who accurately aiming and sniping down his targets.

He's a proud and strong hunter, who enjoyed fighting and challenging his enemies and wild animals. However he doesn't kill them for sports or trophies but rather allowed and let them go freed. Despite being the oldest member of Technobot, he has limited patient and angrily shout back at youngsters, who tend to get on his nerve and driving him crazy.

He's quite curious yet naive when it comes to meeting new people or creatures that he did not consider danger to him and his group. He is the most patient and calmest Technobot as he did his best to observe and solve the problem, no matter what kind of situation he's in. He can be strict and serious when it comes to science work.
